Had it been anyone else, Bobby would have happily murdered them for the early morning rolling into the new base, but he had to be mature about this one. Mature was one thing Robert Oxford never was nor had been, in some cases he still wasn't. Being out here was putting him towards that light even more; which was total fraked up idea. Blinking back the sleep he nearly tossed his coffee in the disposable cup away, just seconds into the movement he realised what he was doing.

It was still half full.

Looking around the room they were waiting on the Admiral to arrive, it had been secured not long ago. He had few SF's already guarding the main door and some on the other side of the fence doing the same of securing each area. Clicking his radio, "Room secured," he radioed out to the those who were still making their way over, "Statues updates?" He requested.

"Gate room and control room checked and secured." A reply came from one of groups. "Looks to be a little fancy fancy from what I see."

It was enough to make Rob consider snorting. Behave, he scowled at himself, "Roger that sarge," he replied. And faced his team, with a new XO. Calmara was taking a step back from being active off-world to see this base workings inside out. At least for a while he was. Reasons were acceptable, knowing his CO was actually a semi egghead.

Seeing Matt finally beaming in, "What you want us to do?" He asked professionally as he could. He had to fight with himself not to make a bored expression.

Fiala was proud to be with SV-1 even if it did mean temporary losing her team and the way she figured it was that she put a lot of work in to SV-2 . She was happy Kelly had joined her, he had proved he had full trust in her and even with Shadows or so she hoped . It felt strange with Fiala that the red head was not present, but she new Fiona was safe that was the main point . But now she was part of a new team and with a new commander to whom she knew very little of . She had seen him around, she nodded her head, she saluted and even when passing on missions wish him a save journey .
Fiala approached Kelly and the rest of the team, she gave a tap on Kelly's shoulder ,

" How we doing Kelly ? team ready ? she waited for Kelly to reply before turning

The rest of the team were the Doctor Harrison and Yagami . The Doctor she knew very little of, she did her best to avoid him in fear of what he might say, last thing she wanted was to be have to life talked about and being up the past . Yagami she didn't even knew excited .

" Here's the deal, Three rules . No wandering away from the team even if god himself tells you to . Two don't touch anything without the Captains approval . Third remember were a team not solo act . So remember this time we'll have more Intel on hand so lets use it when needed . Sit tight and double check your equipment or ask the Sergeant and he'll help you ."

Fiala saw no need in addressing Kelly after all he knew the way she worked and she hoped he knew this was her buy time to keep there heads busy . She wanted a level headed team not one over excited by possibilities or fear of faces they taught they seen in corner of there eye . As she finished speaking she moved herself to two feet behind Oxford to his right waiting to see what happened and what his order .

Aear was already making motions and planning things as people started beaming in. Chiquita stayed with him whilst Kana had gone off to join SV2. Aear glanced over at Mackie as he bustled about making sure he and Chiquita had the equipment they both might need as well as extra for the other 2 he was planning to drag along with him. Things had not gone smoothly on their last mission and he expected Mackie to act professional and to treat Kana fairly but she was his sister. Hei couldn't help feel protective of her.

He grabbed Fiona and moved her to form a group with Sadie. After he turned to Matt who had just beamed in, he present his plan of action to the admiral. If Matt wanted Sadie swapped for Fulcur then he wouldn't have much choice. He'd picked Sadie as Chiquita had trouble just being around guys and he just didn't know how to fix that right now. With a bit of a mischievous grin he called out to the admiral. I'm gonna take Chiqui-chin, Fee-Fee and Sergeant Kelly and head out in that direction. That cool? He said before closing the gap between them so he wouldn't have to shout. Chiqui for her detection skills, Fiona for her tech skills, I'll work as a strength element and Sadie cause your gonna want someone to keep an eye on us right? I only picked her over Fulcur cause Chiqui has difficulties working with guys. He explained his plan to Matt. He knew how to make his arguments more appealing. He had a lot of practice persuading the Empress after all.

Liam looked up to Fiala when she said that to him.  "Yes they are" he replied before joining them for the briefing.  After Fiala said all of that, Liam got the last of his gear ready.  Shadow was next to him at the same time, his paw healed from the splinter that he stepped on recently.  Shadow looked up at his handler as Liam got his P90 ready after hearing Aear say what he did.  Shadow looked at Aear when that was said while standing there.  Liam knew Shadow didn't trust Aear.

Fiona turned up for the next mission, still a bit asleep, as she'd had night watch a few hours before. Her shift had ended at 6, and a cat nap was usually all that she needed. Usually. She must be going through some kind of post-puberty growth spurt, as she was exhausted lately. She smiled warmly at the usual team, and then turned around when Aear approached.

I'm gonna take Chiqui-chin, Fee-Fee and Sergeant Kelly and head out in that direction. That cool?...Chiqui for her detection skills, Fiona for her tech skills, I'll work as a strength element and Sadie cause your gonna want someone to keep an eye on us right? I only picked her over Fulcur cause Chiqui has difficulties working with guys. Fee did too, and something about Major Fulcur made her uneasy. Probably his sheer size; next to most of the others, she was TINY, but the Major was a particularly larged-sized male. Big enough to hurt her, anyway. The only reason she didn't shy away from Kelly now was that she'd gotten used to him. The Oxfords she still steered clear of, as well as Dr. Pratt, Calmara, and Declan (though that was for a far different reason), and Gaines. She looked back to Aear.

Who says I want to go with you, Aear? She stood with her hands on her hips. Where was he going with this? She'd learned awhile ago to get as much information from Aear as was possible before agreeing to one of schemes lest she lost her head. I am sleepy, and mayhaps I am needed in the Comms room, eh? She looked to the Admiral for his orders. Whatever he said would be go. At any rate, she was ready to go, even she DID wish she was curled up with Jacques still.

Main Gate

Roger stood around, not really sure exactly WHY he was here, and not in the Medical area. Oh, well. He stood there with a clipboard, making notes from his head of things he had to accomplish today. Also, he was making notes of all the teams he had already seen, and which ones he still needed to clear for missions. Just a few-the Airman still injured, and some of the new arrivals, as well. He would let the Admiral know later, and it would take just a few minutes to review their records, get a five minute psych check, and send them on their way.

Someone said "Roger that," and without thinking, he looked up. Then he realized that they hadn't meant HIM. He shook his head, and then raised a hand towards the Captain and Admiral.

Sirs, temporary medical bay is ready. All accounted for.

Sadie stood behind Dr's Tuck and Harrison, waiting for whatever Medical was going to be needed for. She wondered if she was going to be shifted to more of a military role this time, or if she was going to stay "Nurse Sadie." Either way was fine with her, she just needed something to occupy her mind so that she wouldn't fret about Liam or Shadow.

She felt a tug on her arm. The Cat-Man, Aear.

She understood that she hadn't put herself out to be overly friendly with too many people-she liked who she liked. She was never rude, though, or mean. She just didn't talk to people that she wasn't already friends with, for various reasons, most of them propriety.

Don't pull me, please. I can go, unless Dr. H needs me here?! She looked between the two men. Surely, they weren't going to take this reckless alien SERIOUSLY...were they?

Lily just stood besides Dr. Harrison and Sadie, while Aear tried to get Sadie along by pulling her arm. Her responds "Don't pull me, please. I can go, unless Dr. H needs me here?!". Dr. Tuck just looked at the three of them while she thought to herself. Things are getting alot livelier around her from now on, I hope I'll be able to keep up with everyone and do my best to help..

Lily was surprised when she noticed that Aear had Cat EARS.. She just starred at him for a moment in surprise before she turned to Harrison and said "Is there anymore you need help with at this time??" in clear but tired tone from all the rush ealier..

Beaming Room

Together with the rest of SV-1 and hand picked members of the base personnel, Henry stood in the ‘beaming room’ of the main base for the first time. While the room was dark, it was possible to make out that they were standing in a circular room from which a number of hallways and doors came off like spokes on a wheel. Given that this was one of the few ways into the base it would make sense that it had a central location to allow quick access to other parts of the base.

Having operated out of a small outpost eight kilometres away for the past few months, the expedition was now taking their first steps into the much larger main base. It was an exciting, and potentially, dangerous step for all involved. The technical experts had figured out a few weeks ago how to activate the outpost beaming technology, but the Admiral had held off visiting the main base until a sizeable group could be assembled. No one had any idea what was in here, and ‘safety in numbers’ seemed to be the plan for today. If this main base proved to be safe, Pratt’s impression was that the expedition would move their operations here.

“The architecture obviously belong to the Ancients,” Henry explained, comparing the inside of the room to images he’d brought with him from Earth courtesy of Daniel Jackson. “Through uniquely there’s influences of the local species, definite Indian and Hindu stylistic cues.” The presence of both cultures side by side was something that, to Pratt’s understanding, the SGC had not before witnessed.

“Every line of local text has the Ancient equivalent underneath,” he observed. “Translating this won’t be a problem at all.”

Beaming Room

Even he was partly awake as he turned to face the members who were assembled. The head count and having everyone there on time was his Secretary task, Petty Officer Second Class Gavin Barker stood next to him after letting him know that all were present. Not far from them, James Calmara was having talk with group of technical personnel and going over the stuff they had to make sure everything was there to have the gate room set up. "All ready here, Admiral," a voice shouted from the group, given them a nod of acknowledgement, before they moved and then he turned to his XO.

Taking a moment to consult the map that they had at hand from the database, Oxford point to the south wing, "Your team moves here, Captain." He told Bobby, "You are to take few SF's with you. Keep me updated."

Looking at it, he mentally made a face. Matt was the Boss after all, he signed Bobby's pay check at the end of the week or fortnight. Going against his brother would earn him a glare or a punch, and he wanted neither, "Yes Sir." He nodded in confirmation, since a dumb question was sitting on the tip was his tongue, Bobby decided to bow out with the given orders before he lost browine points. Motioning for his team to gather, "Alright people, we are going to explore the south wing of this complex." then added, "Admiral's orders. Let's get moving."

Once Bobby was out his hair, he faced Aear, "No, not cool." Oh teenagers these days, some were too eager, "Miss Charter will join the defense team and aid them. She might be more helpful there," he replied, as he shot MacCaffery a look, "Doctor Tuck and the medical personnel can use another hand in helping the find and set up the medial bay. Mister Charter, are you willing to help them out?"

"Miss MacCarffery, intel suggested security complex on the north wing. You are to report to Major Gaines with your findings. Major Fulcur and his team to take the East."

Just as he was about to face Pratt and his team, the doctor was already talking away. If he had read the notes right, "I take it that this does not normally happens with finding of two races working together?"

Beaming Room

“I’ve not seen it before sir,” Henry replied to the Admiral. “Outposts built by the Ancients on Earth and in the Pegasus Galaxy are monolingual, at least from what I understand.” He added the last bit to politely let the Admiral know that he hadn’t been with the SGC long prior to being assigned to the expedition. While he’d done his best to digest as much of Doctor Jackson’s work that he could, he still had a long way to go before he could be considered an expert on the Ancient language. “I’d hazard a guess that such a move means the Ancients worked alongside the locals, possibly as equals.” That of course meant that there might be native technology integrated into the base which might add another layer of complexity to what they had anticipated.

Pratt continued to study the text above each of the doorways leading from the central beaming room. His hand furiously moved across his writing pad, trying to capture in writing everything he was seeing. Fiona had issued him with a laptop, but for Henry taking physical notes was a more effective method. Old habits died hard it seemed. It between his notes he managed to take some photographs and video footage of particularly interesting passaging.

The Admiral divided up those present and dispatched them in groups to explore the base. The archaeologist noticed a phrase above the southern hallway which roughly translated into ‘power’, ‘energy’ or ‘electricity’. “Sir, looks like whatever keeps the lights on around here is to the south,” Henry explained to Matt. “If there was someone technically minded available I could assist them in attempting to power up the base.” Pratt didn’t have the faintest idea if the batteries in this thousand year old building would still work, but it was worth a try.

Er.. Yeah I can help them out but it's not like I have any medical skills. Said Aear with something of a confused look. Didn't make any sense to him to be assigned to the medical team. He was going to say more but his aunt's voice in the back of his head stopped him. She'd asked him to be diplomatic so he'd placate to the Earthicans for now. He didn't like how he did things, how they just barged in and acted like they owned the place. They were going to get themselves into a whole heap of trouble and if what he saw on his last mission was anything to go by they were making themselves a powerful enemy out there. If they weren't willing to listen then what could he do.

With Oxfords order Fiala turned back to the rest of SV-1, making sure all members were ready to move out and begin there mission .
" Ok you heard your orders so lets move out, Kelly, Shadow lead the way and as for you two " Fiala looked towards Blueberry and Harrison, " Ok Blueberry I think the Captain would like to know if there are any spots of interest that light up or maybe you doctor seen any area that with in are location that are of interest ."
As the team moved off Fiala took up the rear ready to change at a moments notice . She still had to figure how Oxford worked so she kept to her old pattering she had with Marah, hopefully he wasn't too not a hot head .

Fiona felt Aear drop her arm, and she looked to Captain Oxford. His words registered quickly in her brain.

Miss MacCarffery, intel suggested security complex on the north wing. You are to report to Major Gaines with your findings. Major Fulcur and his team to take the East... She ignored the mispronunciation of her name...it had happened before, and it wasn't worth the commander's annoyance.

She replied, her head hung a little, and her voice meek. She was a little frightened with all the people around, with only Aear close enough. She wasn't besties with him, either, but he at least made her feel slightly more comfortable. Where were the pilots with Koren? Fiala was in the back of the room, with Kelly. Great.

Aye, sir. She fell back a little, and found the Major in the throngs of people. She headed towards him, and spoke.

Major Gaines, am I expected to GO into the security area? Or shall I access it from my office? She looked at the man, hoping he wasn't going to send her in there. At least, not ALONE. She might be good at sabotage, but she was useless at much else.

Hearing Fiala give the command, Liam nodded, then spoke to Shadow in German. The muscular dog responded and moved out to the front with Liam, who had his P90 at the ready. Shadow walked a few feet ahead of Liam, his nose close to the ground while his ears remained alert.  Liam noticed it as he walked along.  Shadow was sniffing out for any trouble as well as listening for anything odd.  Liam did the same, keeping a sharp eye out for any troublemakers.  Apart from his military training, Liam's martial arts and water polo training came into play at the same time.
