Fiala was finishing of her final checks before getting ready to make way to the gateroom for her next mission, she was making sure to shine and oil if needed to all of her equipment . It was her ritual before any mission that she'd like to do alone, it was a time her mind would refresh in peace on all that happened and in away cleaning out her weapons was a kind of meditation to her . It was a time she think about he family , team mates and those who would only ever a taught any more .
She took a look at her sniper rife which now lay back in its box, she had missed using it for a long time now after all it was kind of a team mate in her eyes and she always made sure to take it out to check on it when doing her ritual . That rifle was part of her, in away as much as Marah had been with the team and even if it was for only a few missions . She had gotten use to working with her again, but if anything she was grateful it was't on injured terms that she wasn't the CO and her departure had made her now acting CO . Fiala packed her equipment as Andrews took care of her rifle, ready to take it back to its position in the armory and with that it was time for her war paint . He gave a smile with out saying a word knowing what to do .
As soon as Fiala entered the gateroom she made sure those taughts she had were gone, it was time for her to be that Fiala that took command of a situation and made her fear that worked for her .
She waited till the team had assembled, including the new members before speaking
" SV-2, I'm not going to wast time on introductions, this is your new XO Lieutenant Billie Jean Witwer who you will give your full trust and respect as much as I have . All so are personal doctor Kana Charter . As I said you can introduce your selfs later and as of now we have a mission ." Fiala saw little need to introduce Liam or Fiona to Billie as she had been a CO of SV4 and more than likely knew her new team already . As for Kana, she probably knew them in side out and more .

Fiala was second to step through through gate to the salty smell through the air and a cool breeze with a salty taste . As her eyes opened, in front of the gate stood a statue of some male looking figure or female as Fiala was unsure . Around the gate were stone buildings which were well crafted, with paved roads and all over looking a beautiful deep blue ocean which lay behind the gate . Despite all the beauty, were was everyone ?

Liam and Shadow stepped out of the gate next.  After doing so, Liam looked around the place they were now in, the salty smell hitting his nose at the same time.  Shadow looked around as well, seeing how quiet it was.  "Its too quiet" Liam said as looked around.  As he said that, something got Shadow's attention, causing him to bark.  Liam looked over in the direction that Shadow was barking, his hand near his P90 as he looked over.  "What do you see Shadow?" he asked the dog while standing there after giving him the command to stop.  Liam looked closely in the direction Shadow was, who now had his head down and his eyes focused on what ever it was that got him to bark.  As he stood there, Liam got an uneasy feeling, like they were being watched.

Fee was zoned out, involved with her codes, trying to put together all the information the teams had gathered, and was also trying to get back into Fiala's good graces. She knew her final antics on the last planet-what was it called? She couldn't recall-had annoyed the commanding officer. Finally, an alarm blared, and Fee raised her head, rubbing her eyes. She was back to wearing her glasses full time-too much time in front of screens on top of too little sleep made her eyes hurt these days. It was time to gate out, and she stood up, got her gear, and went to the gateroom. With her eyes closed, she stepped through, the last of her team to make it through.

Fee opened her eyes to a cute little town. It smelled of sea air, and Fiona took a deep inhale. It smelled oddly of the Irish Sea, and she smiled. She looked around, seeing Fiala and Liam and his bloody dog. Well, actually, Fee was beginning to kind of like Shadow, but she'd never tell.

Fiala spoke.

SV-2, I'm not going to wast time on introductions, this is your new XO Lieutenant Billie Jean Witwer who you will give your full trust and respect as much as I have . All so are personal doctor Kana Charter . As I said you can introduce your selfs later and as of now we have a mission...Ok than, time to shine, when your ready Lieutenant Witwer, please lead the way. Fee sighed, but got ready to follow. She was become a star solider yet.

Aye. Fee just fell in behind Liam, who was also looking around.

Its too quiet...What do you see Shadow? Fee followed the dog's view. She saw nothing. Strange animal. She spoke aloud, to Billie.

I don't think we've officially met. Fiona Maccafferty 'ere.

Kana stepped through the gate and looked around the stone built town that stood before her, the sea air hitting her nose. It could only be half a dozen miles at the most to the coast she thought as the smell brought back memories of home. She was born and raised on a waterworld afterall. She wasn't too keen on this field medic lark and would much prefer to be back in the clinic but clearly she was needed here, she just hoped it wasn't going to turn too militaristic.

Kana stared up at the statue for a few moments trying to decide whether this figure was simple leader or something more heroic. Either way they'd either ordered a statue of themselves be built or gained plenty of recognition here. Something the team would have to keep in mind. They didn't want to upset the locals after all.

Hearing Liam she looked at where Shadow was indicating when suddenly her instincts hit her. Something was wrong here. Something was very wrong. Without thinking Kana's weight shifted into a defensive position, something Aear had drilled into them before they left. Wherever everyone is something is not right here. She warned the rest of her team. She didn't know how to explain it but her gut told her not to stay longer than was absolutely necessary.

Stepping out of the gate, Billie took a second to get her bearing right. After a late night that was poured into getting reports done for the Admiral to read, she was few short of winks this morning. Coffee that was in her system hardly did much to get her body up and running. But it was the sea air that cleared up little of her sleepy state. Which meant it was one of those days where Az might have had to drag her out bed. Billie was glad that her best friend wasn't here to see this.

Hearing Kelly, she took notice; it was very quiet for the time of the day, "Perhaps they sleep during the day and wake up at night," she spoke as she walked a little further from the gate, "Or after having celebrations into the wee hours of the morning everyone is in bed." Still, something didn't feel right.

Seeing the red head, Bills heard her words, "Miss MacCafftery," she gave a acknowledged nod, "Lieutenant Witwer of US Navy. Former student of Stargate Academy. How are you finding the Project so far?" she asked as she took in her surrounding like she was trained to do so.

Her blue eyes landed on the fifth member of her team, it was same girl who she had somewhat met during their arrival on the planet where they had based themselves. "Poručík Skala," she looked at her CO, "Suggestion that we split and cover more ground to find what seems to be wrong."

Liam nodded a bit when he heard Billie say that.  Either way he wasn't going to take any chances given the way Shadow was acting.  As he stood close to Shadow and scanned the area, he noticed Fiona.  He had a feeling that Shadow was growing on her but that she wouldn't admit it.  Stay focused Liam he said to himself as he stood there.  Shadow was standing close to Liam at this time, keeping watch as well.  Both of them could hear the conversations going on behind them as they kept watch and waited for orders on what to do next.  As he stood there, Liam couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched.  It was the same feeling that he had back at the previous location.

Fiala just listening and watch as the team pondered on the quietness pf the town . There were many reasons why there be no one on the street but none seemed ever to good . But her XO was right, they'd get little findings staying in a group,

" Agreed, Witwer take Kelly and Fiona with you . Me and Dr Charter will will stay close to the gate and see if the locals will show a welcome . We don't know why or if anyone is here but lets not jump to conclusion and lets just keep in mind that they could be just scared of strangers . Lets play this safe and make a good impression . Witwer I want you to update us on any development or out of the strange ." With that Fiala began to take steps away from the team and towards a two story building that overlooked the square . Fiala could't help but be impressed by the building, It was a light grey coloured and half the size of a soccer pitch . Pillars ran the hole way round the buildings rim given the impression of holding the second level rim up, on the lower floor walls held beautiful carved picture's that looked like a story or maybe there history .
" So Charter what you make of this ?"

Upon hearing that, Liam looked at Shadow and gave him the command to move out.  Hier können sie  he said to Shadow, who stood up and alert at this time after Liam said that to him.  He followed Lt. Witwer and Fiona closely, Shadow was a few feet ahead of him, still on his leash.  Liam looked around them and back at Shadow, seeing how well the dog moved in the ballistic vest that he had on him.  At the same time, Liam kept his P90 aimed down at the ground, but in such a away that if he needed to use it, he would not be wasting time in bringing it to bear on anyone that attacked them.

Kana stayed with Fiala as ordered, she didn't like it, she'd rather be with those exploring in case they ran into any trouble, her shields and barriers would make light work of any attack and she could tend to any injured. But she wasn't in charge here, though she wasn't military either she didn't want to rock the boat. Not yet anyway. Her instinct was still telling her something was very wrong here. She pre-cast a number of shields and barriers to be on the safe side. Any surprise attackers would have a difficult time if she was able to instantly put some up. She just hoped she wouldn't need to. At least her MaDaR was clear so nobody nearby was casting anything. Not that knowing that helped them much since they were more likely to be non-magic users.

Kana followed Fiala over to the large stone built building, it resembled an arena if you asked her. She studied the pictures carved into the walls for any signs of the purpose of the building. It seemed to be a gathering place, an auditorium maybe. She heard Fiala's voice and turned round. The building seems to possibly be something along the lines of an auditorium of some kind. Said Kana reporting her findings. Though you probably mean about the town in general. Kana closed her eyes for a second before she spoke again. Instincts were and emotional aspect and she needed to think logicially. Still she couldn't shake this feeling. My instincts are running wild. Something is very wrong here. I've pre-cast a number of shields and barriers just in case. It wont do the other much good mind you. Might I suggest you have them stay in radio contact. I can transfer us to their location if anything happens. Explained Kana. She wasn't sure whether Fiala held much stock in instinct but that was her take on the situation. Kana could only assume that Fiala was wise enough to put it into consideration. Kana stared over to where the others had left to. Ki o tsukete. She said quietly wishing them to be careful.

As the orders arrived from her team leader, Billy gave a short nod. While her suggestion was just that, Bills was glad that her team leader considered the idea. Adjusting her gear she gave another short nod to her small team. Eying the dog with a little fear, Billie tried not to get that to bit her. She didn’t dislike animals, but large dos weren’t the ones she was used to. The size for her was a little intimidating, certain if she came more in contact with the four legged furball, she would be more at easy, eventually.

She eyed the area, yet her feeling that something was wrong won’t go away. She moved her eyes randomly at the buildings/houses to see if she could spot anyone living or awake. It was odd she mused to find a village to be totally deserted as if a famine had taken place. Suddenly it hit her that this could also be a reason. “Sergeant Kelly,” she softly called the man, “has Shadow picked up on anything?” Sure the dog would alert them with a bark or give some indication that he found a trail. So far they had found nothing other than being the only ones who were walking the empty streets of an alien planet.

Sergeant Kelly, has Shadow picked up on anything?


Liam glanced back when Billie asked him that.  "Not yet ma'am" he whispered back.  He had a feeling that Billie was intimidated by Shadow, which wouldn't be the first time.  Liam knew that Shadow's size acted as a first line deterrent as he was a German bloodline shepherd, which were bigger and stronger then their American bloodline counterparts.  Liam also noticed that Billie seemed to be the type who was more open to Shadow then other people he knew on this expedition.  Seconds after he said that to Billie, Shadow stopped in his tracks, which Liam noticed.  Shadow laid down, indicating to Liam that he had picked up a scent.  Liam nodded, then spoke to the dog in German to get him moving again.  "He's picked up a scent" he said to Billie before moving out with him.  Shadow kept his nose low to the ground as he tracked the scent that he picked up.

Fiona was already hard at work. She was standing, head bent over her tablet, trying to get her program to record the temperature, sounds, directions, winds, and the like. She was basically unaware of what was happening around her, and until she heard Liam utter in German, she didn't even breathe loudly.

She had heard Fiala's orders.

Agreed, Witwer take Kelly and Fiona with you... Unconusiouly, she started out, following the blonde Navy officer, who spoke to her.

ieutenant Witwer of US Navy. Former student of Stargate Academy. How are you finding the Project so far?" Fee glanced up.

I am adjusting. She didn't elaborate. She just stopped behind Liam and Shadow. It wasn't until Billie spoke again, and Liam responded, that Fee snapped to attention.

Sergeant Kelly...has Shadow picked up on anything?

Not yet ma'am...He's picked up a scent Fee sighed.

My system's heat sensors are picking up bodies. They're here...mostly gathered in the same area, about 20 yards that way; some sort of building-appears to be the town meeting hall. The marks are faint-they're likely hiding underground or in a safe shelter or the like. She sighed, but followed Shadow. She didn't have any better ideas, and Liam was armed, anyway. She kept her device on, just to see if any of the heat markers moved.

Hearing Fiona say that, Liam nodded, then spoke to Shadow in German before leading the group in the direction that Fiona told them where the heat signatures were coming from.  Liam kept his P90 close and ready as he lead them closer to the location in question.  He was ready for anything and knew from his time in SF to never under estimate anyone that he would meet when on a mission.  The closer they got, the more focused Shadow became, listing and sniffing out for anything that was out of place or that could harm himself, Liam or the rest of the team.

Fiala listened to Kana option to have an open comm to the rest of the team and as much as she knew the possible advantages she also knew the possible side effects if something went wrong . She could understand were Kana was coming from, she liked her, as for her brother and sister that was a different story . Kana didn't seen a loose cannon .

Fiala kept her attention on the wall designing, she knew little about art or history but it looked clearly to have origin from Asia or India to be precise . But she could tell the environment clearly made an effect on there culture front the way the stone was shaped . It looked like a rich culture . As Fiala was rubbing her hand across a carving that reminded her of seasons in a year, foot steps could be heard and light ones at that . Clanking of the shoes could be heard off the stone pavement . As the steps drew closer a woman appeared to be wearing a cloth over her mouth . Before Fiala could say anything, the lady spoke .

As you wish, I shall use my telepathy to notify them if we run into trouble. Said Kana ceding her position. She wasn't looking to make any enemies here and her brother so far wasn't helping them make any friends. I will remind you however, we Meowtians are a magical race. Magic is controlled by instinct and feeling not by thought. Instinct gives us millions of years of information whereas thinking can only be used now. That is how our people work. Kana said as diplomatically as she could. She wasn't trying to lecture Fiala just a bit of information about her people. It would help her deal with other Meowtians and most certainly her brother who didn't seem to do any thinking at all.

Kana's ear picked up the sound of footsteps long before Fiala's could, turned back to listen as whoever it was approached them. Pretending however not to hear the person until she was within human range, Kana turned around and moved a few steps closer to behind Fiala. She wasn't scared of the stranger, far from it. Kana followed one of the oldest Meowtian strategies in the book. "Underplay your strengths and overplay your weaknesses." She would pretend to be scared and play on the role of a child and/or a support mage.
