Personality: Mac is a BAMF. She is a Marine, so of course she is strong, but she is also a survivor. She is driven, but also has a motherly instinct. At work, she is mostly tough as nails, but in public, she is warm, caring, and vivacious. She is obstinately tomboyish, but will dress up if the occasions calls for it.
She is serious about her job. She takes little BS but does know how to separate work from life. However, she is a lawyer and sometimes can be uptight, though she doesn't mean to be. Once you remind her, she will relax. She also prefers casual uniforms to dress uniforms, and looks forward to the days when she is off, as she can just relax and forget about work.
And I must follow on the road that lies ahead,
I won't let my heart control my head,
I won't let my heart control my head,

Fulfil your destiny,
Is there within the child,
Mac was born in 1968 to Joesph and Rebecca Mackenzie. Her father was an alcoholic, and abusive to her mother. When she was 15, her mother abandoned her and her father. Her father sent her to live with her uncle Matthew Mackenzie, a retired Marine himself. He, and his girlfriend Rose(whom he later married), took Mac in and helped her to move past her childhood. Mac was able to excel in High School, but didn't get a scholarship to college, so she joined the Marines instead after a year off in between to work.
Mac found her niche in the Marines. She was good at it, and it provided her structure, and a family setting. She thrived, and quickly moved up the ranks. She went from Private all the way to Lance Corporal in her first two years in. She worked as a yeoman (secretary) for the JAG corps. Her boss, John Farrow, saw something in her, though, and recommended her for the Navy/Marine Corps "Field to Fleet" program, where they put promising Marines and Sailors through college in exchange for six years of service.
Mac chose to go to University of Minnesota, Minnetonka, where she majored in Prelaw. Later, she went to the Law program at Duke. She returned to he Corps, this time as a Second Lieutenant. She skipped over First Lt., and went straight from the fields of Okinawa to the desks of JAG HQ, where she has been since, moving up the ranks at a steady speed.
She is close to her colleagues, and especially Harriett Roberts. She is the godmother to the woman's son, so she will miss them while she is gone. She, however, cannot have children, so she values the relationships she has with her colleague's children.

Role Play Sample:Paisley indicated the metal cart where she had set up a tea service for herself and Garcia.
"It's green. Specifically, it's Jasmine green. The Thai version. It's whole leaf, so you have to us a strainer or tea ball." She indicated that she should help himself.
"I haven't really met Rossi; I understand he was on assignment until now...do you think he's a better option than my going straight to the boss? What if I told that horrible Blonde...Strauss? She'd probably fire me.
Anyway, my past? Where to begin? I was born in Berkeley, Ca. My mother was a hippie, and a pothead back then. We moved around all the time, from her chasing one man or another. I was really REALLY poor; we had to live in the car once, in Montana. She was working as a preschool teacher, but not really doing well. She had always told me that she didn't know who my father was, though I had always suspected Peter, because we look so much alike.
Anyway, when I was 10, things were finally going well...Mom had met this wealthy guy who moved us to Los Angeles, and I started going to school regularly there. That's when I was first diagnosed with the OCD. Of course, things at home began to unravel, because mom was using again. And so I never got any help with it.
When I was 13, Mom and I moved to a commune in New Mexico. This one had slightly religious overtones, but mostly it was about perfection in the outward appearance-not just your body and face, but painting a good light over the Community. I met a lot of nice people but then something terrible happened, and...we left.
After that, we pretty much settled in Texas, and I graduated High School and took the first bus out of Austin the night of my graduation for Stanford, and never looked back. Mom returned to Berkeley, and we don't talk much to this day...she is using again.
Anyway, Peter told the night of the Halloween party about his past, and revealed that he is indeed my father-apparently, there is a chance that this mission could well be his last, and he said that he needed to get if off his chest."
She took a deep breath, and looked up at the man.
"And so here we are."
