After Iraq:
Both brother and I were recruited to be in the first group of Australian pilots to fly a new top secret American super fighter, The F-302, and sent to America for training. While training was introduced to the Stargate program and was accepted as one of the first International pilots for the program.

Personality: Can be sarcastic under pressure and loves a aerial dogfight. Nol is a quiet person, trustworthy but quiet. He is more likely found to be spending time by himself than in groups, but this is not to say he isn't a team player. He is maybe more a team player than anyone and once through his exterior armour the man his a gentle giant. He cares a lot for his friends and will do anything for them, but to make this man an enemy would be the worst idea of all. Has a fatherly soft spot for Des and Serenity.

History: Was a good student in school above average scores in Physics, Applicable Mathematics and English as well as Geography and History.
Sort of a loner at school with only one friend "Kira Natsumi" who was a straight A student with a wild imagination which she wrote stories about their great adventures on other worlds. She left school and became a teacher.
After joining the military at 18 as a junior officer I found a Best friend "Nikita", Also a young pilot, and made many friends in the service.

A few years after being brought into the stargate programme and defending Antarctica base, Nolen learned about an expedition starting up called Delta. The Grieving man needed a change to get away from the loss of his brother. After applying, the Nolen was accepted and it was the best decision he has ever made. After joining the Delta site for a year and becoming the Commanding officer of the 301st, the pilot joined up with Ida Task Force, becoming the Commanding Officer of first the squadron, Joining ex Delta pilots and friends including Des, Jason and Leon . The 356th Commander made it a point to make his pilots feel at home and a part of a family. After one Fated mission Des found a lone child on a space craft the woman took the child in and became like a mother to her at which point the whole squadron became closer. In fact it was Nolen and their Commander Harrison who convinced the IOA to leave serenity with Des. After Des left, Nolen continued to guide the 365th for a year before he finally took the promotion and a training job at Peterson Air Force base. He lasted there 1 year.
After the transfer to Shiva Nolen finally married Astra, who had decided to leave the Stargate program. He spent the next year stationed on earth being a part time father and part time pilot until the Vedas expedition was sent.

Peterson Air Force Base
The ride from the headquarters to the air force base wasn't as long as Nolen had began to think, the arrival of the two black SUV's into the base also didn't seam to rise any sort of suspicion from the guards or the personnel around the base. Nolen looked out of the window of the second vehicle as they pulled up to a stop in front of a building. Nolen opened the door and stared at the building with the tinted windows. He noticed that the building had only one floor and started to think Another training room with another boring video. He had received a lot of these through his very recent time with the programme, it was something his dad had warned him about and which he had like normal ignored. Now he wished he had listened to him. He looked around at his surroundings of the typical air base and then at his team members. None of them at which he knew very well at this moment, in fact he was still having trouble putting names to faces.
Nolen followed the guys leading them into the building and looked at the door at which they stopped at after having their security clearances checked. "Oh" he let out accidently as the elevator doors opened up. He turned red with embarrassment as he realized some of the others heard. Feeling as if he had just shrunk to the size of an ant he walked in to the elevator with everyone and hid at the back. He felt stupid and as if he should have known that they were going underground. The gentle melody of the elevator's gears did nothing to sooth Nolen's embarrassment and so the young man just stuck his hands in his pockets and remained at the back.
