The venue had been “booked”, the food prepared was a healthy mix of alien and Tauri dishes (Wolfe had made it a point to ask the cook on the base what were some favorite foods of his patrons), the bar was well stocked and the playlist. The Nova was about to have itself a party.

Broomhilda Wolfe loved parties, the more the merrier especially when you could eat and drink all you wanted and still could end up in your own bed afterwards, one benefit of owning your own ship. “HOPS!” Wolfe yelled across the room, the Galactic Lounge was one of the larger rooms on The Nova, with low ambient lighting, sunken seats with plush cushions and a beautiful view of the space outside thanks to massive floor to ceiling windows, it was one of his favorite rooms on the entire ship, he could have a party for hundreds in it and still have room to spare.

“Yes, Captain?” his first officer appeared at his side carrying another case of the whiskey the humans loved so much, Wolfe reached down and picked up a bottle, pulling the top off with his teeth he took a long swing, enjoying the flavor as it burned its way down his throat. “Please inform our guests that they may join us at anytime..” he said as he set the now half empty bottle back in the box. The tall captain spun on his heel and looked around the room, “MUSIC!” he cried as he clapped his hands twice the lights in the room suddenly lowered to mimic something you might see in a club as electronic music started to play thru the speakers. Wolfe grinned, it was time to party.

 Blake was ready to go. He'd been ready to go for a while now. But he had built time into his plans for this evening.

Because of his boyfriend, who was busy fussing with his appearance. Blake was laying on his stomach on the too narrow for two adult men bed while Steve did rotations in front of the mirror. "Think anybody will notice these are the same pants I wore for Halloween?"

"They'll be too distracted by the tightness of the pants to notice. And I am blaming you and those pants if I cause a diplomatic incident with somebody on Wolfe's crew tonight."

Steve turned around, arms crossed and hip cocked. "Tonight, I don't think I'd be too upset by one of your jealous fits even." He experimented with a button on his shirt before leaving the top two undone.
"I'm ready, kitten."

Blake rolled over and off the bed. "Watch, you're gonna have nothing but lady pirates hittin' on you and I'm gonna laugh as you run in fear from the leather bodices full of cleavage."

They left the room to head for the arranged beam up site to the Nova.

Steve stepped into the Galactic Lounge, Blake had an arm around Steve's waist in a slightly possessive fashion. Their host was in the midst of it as music was playing, and between that and the lights, it was very comfortably familiar for both men. Approaching Wolfe as a matter of politeness, Blake greeted Wolfe. "Captain Wolfe. Blake Warren, SV-1."

Steve had only seen the outside of Nova during the battle some months ago. The inside was just as impressive though. "We wanted to thank you for your hospitality. Nova's truly an impressive ship." They'd met in person in the aftermath of the attack on Vedas after fighting in orbit but not for too long.

She had been fussing with her outfits for good twenty minutes. Changing out of it when she didn’t like it or just looked too much. On the other hand she did have small collection of clothes to choose from, anyhow. Sighed she picked up the last one she had that was left to try. Picking it up, Witwer unfolded it. Only to see a pink jumpsuit styled garment. It was better than the outfit she had for halloween. And she could wear a shawl around her shoulders to cover up. After that talk with Az, the old Bills was finally emerging from the shadows of the 5 years she had turned into.And heels were optional. She could always run around on Wolfe’s ship bare feet.

She turned and went to get ready.

She arrived after Col Hamrick and Dr Warren. In the pink jumpsuit and the only heels she had brought with her to another galaxy. Her hair fell past her shoulders in soft bouncy yet flirty waves. That had taken a bit of a fight to get it right. Some curlers and hairspray. All her proper tools were back home. It was one the joys of being a servicewoman.

“I like the decor,” she called out as she made her presence known. This was her first time on the Nova. The ship did make USS Shiva seem like a dwarf, given the USS battlecruiser was the biggest made on earth. Perhaps they could take few modifications from Wolfe and improve their own ships. “It’s very……” she searched for the right word, “Enchanting, I suppose.”

'It's been sometime since I were in the same room as the Vedas squads, I just hope they don't hate me, for bailing on them, on that one mission..' Lily thought to herself, while trying to get ready, she wanted to make an impression, but she didn't know what to wear, she had 3 party outfits/dresses, 1. Red knee high, with white roses, quite revealing around the chest area.. 2. Blue knee high, with 3 striped pattern, more conservative.. 3. White top, short white skirt, with ghostly patterns, leaving just enough skin to trigger someone's imagination..

Going with the White outfit, Lily placed herself in front of the mirror, 'Waow!!' Lily thought to herself, while admiring herself in the mirror, the white top just barely covering her chest area while not reaching her belly button at all, the white skirt barely covering her butt, so her legs are more visible then normal..
'I'm so nervous, I've never had a reason to put this outfit on, I just hope they don't stare at me, I can't handle too many eyes on me?!' Lily panicked while thinking just how much her outfit would attract attention to her..
'Just a slightly darker skin color lipstick, some dark purple eyeliner, and I'm good to go..' Lily thought to herself while applying makeup..

"It's time for me to join the party.." Lily said to herself out loud..

Lily beamed to the party ship, but she were to nervous to actually use words, she just moved over to the other side, with barely any people, to steel herself, before anyone started talking to her..

Looking around the room, music playing, the lighting shifting with the beat of the music, she could see a few people already here, a lovely woman in a pink jumpsuit, a few male officers aswell, but couldn't recognize anyone at this time..

Steve was considering a spot to sit where they could both watch the deep space out the vast window when Witwer joined them.

He gave her a thumbs-up. "Nice curls, Witwer. I never could get the hang of walking in heels so I give you props."

Blake was glancing around for food. "They hurt but they do what they're supposed to."

Steve chuckled at Witwer's description. "In a clubbing kind of way, yeah. Reminds me of Club Q in Denver or Burkhart's back in Atlanta."

Blake spotted another expedition member come aboard. "Would you excuse me for a minute?"

After the brief hand brush of acknowledgement from Steve, Blake headed for Dr. Tuck, surprised to see an old expedition member return. "Hey, I didn't know you were back on the infirmary staff, Dr. Tuck."

Lily wasn't ready to face everyone yet, so keeping to herself, seemed the best decision as this time, until someone approached her..
"I just got back, the other day.. Haven't had a shift in the Infirmary yet.." Lily answered the officer who approached her..
Looking over the man's uniform, she could tell he was a Lt. Col. on the squad SV-3.. 'I don't recognize him, have I met him before?? He does look familiar but I'm not sure..' Lily thought to herself..

"What do I owe the the pleasure, Colonel.." Lily asked curious..

Blake laughed a little bit. "Wrong half of the couple. Blake Warren, from the Social Sciences section and SV-1. I just wanted to welcome you back and Steve is wanting to talk ships with Wolfe." He smoothed his own sweater vest and nice purple button-up shirt.

Some of Wolfe's crew were already present, and Blake was looking over there, in a totally not jealous way because at least a couple of them were looking at Steve. And those blasted tight leather pants. "He had to wear those pants. I know his civilian wardrobe here is limited, but he had to wear those. Doctor, you're going to be patching me up by midnight because Steve is gonna get me into a fight."

At least Steve wasn't the only member of the Vedas Expedition to be showing off a bit. Still, Blake hoped for the sake of peace that only women on Wolfe's crew tried making a move.

Billie gave a low smile to Hamrick, when she saw the hand gesture. The outfit was a good choice. Even if it was pink, which was her favorite colour. Heck it was the only colour she had that she wore often. While she did wear other colours, but not as much. “Thanks, sir,” she said, “curls happened to be my specialty. It's all in the practice with the heels. Trick is to start with low and increase the height as you get use to them.” If she had the tools, she could done better curls.

Lifting her leg, “This,” she pointed to the heel, “is my max I can do. My feet might scream tomorrow since I haven’t worn them in a while. Nice outfits, by the way.” she told them both. And nodded when Blake excused himself.

“Clubs?” she asked, “Really? Never really stepped in a club, so won’t know.” She had been too busy with SGA, then SGC and now with the expedition to even go out for a night to club. “Let’s say, I’m glad past those years. Last thing I would need to call my father at 3 am and explain him why I might need bail money. Makes matters worse when your father is a lawyer.” The image alone made her shudder.

Her whole outfit was daring, he'd give her that. He'd never liked showing a lot of skin usually. Tight, absolutely. "Guy I dated in college would perform in drag in six inch heels. Was not surprised when Ky made it onto Drag Race at all."

Steve pulled on his shirt collar. "Me too, absolutely. Totally focused on school and did not run through the LA gay bars and clubs like Draino."

And luckily Blake was talking to Dr. Tuck and not standing there to call BS on him. Steve shrugged his shoulders when she mentioned her father. "Mine wasn't exactly in a place to be concerned how I acted in college."

On the other side of the Galactic Lounge, two of Nova's crew were surveilling the Vedics. Kava was a fighter, specializing in boarding parties. Her twin sister Kiva from the ship's engineering team stood with her. Kava pointed slightly where Wolfe was talking with two of the Vedic officers. "I'm going after that one. Black hair, blue eyes, and I can guess the inches."

Kiva rolled her eyes at her sister. "A, I don't think you're his type. Much more important, B, that's one of their senior officers. Don't go there, Kava."

"Captain Wolfe. Blake Warren, SV-1."

Wolfe had been enjoying a drink and listening to a conversation between two guests when he heard a familiar voice behind him, turning he saw two people he knew. "Doctor Warren and Colonel Hamrick! Glad you could join us!" he replied with a smile. "We wanted to thank you for your hospitality. Nova's truly an impressive ship." the Colonel told him, Wolfe nodded, "Thank you, years of work, she might not be the prettiest thing on the outside but a wise woman once told me it was the inside that counts." that woman was long dead, and there were days where he missed her dearly but time was cruel like that. 

“I like the decor,” Lt. Witwer announced as the walked into the lounge, taking a sip of his drink, he eyed the blonde woman in her pink outfit, several of his male crew members who had joined the party also cast a look over to her, admiring the scenery, but after a sharp look from their Captain they directed their eyes elsewhere. The look from their Captain told them enough, they could flirt but besides that the blonde was off limits.  "Ma'am, please make yourself at home, tonight is all about you enjoying yourselves. Might I get you a drink we have a wonderful selection." he offered.

He had traded his uniform in for a pair of dark blue jeans and a grey v-neck shirt, for once instead of hiding his hair under a ballcap he had washed it and attempted to style it at best he could, his cousin had decided to go with a dress, something he had not seen her wear in a long time. It was a dark green wrap dress, the color complemented her eyes nicely and with her hair being down for once Major Harris looked like a civilian for once. 

Nick watched her as she walked down the hallway towards him, "What is that look for?" she asked, Nick just chuckled and shook his head, "I just did not expect you to own a dress, Witwer yes, you maybe." he replied, she lightly hit him in the arm as she passed, "I can dress up when the time calls for it." she replied as they beamed up to The Nova. 

A few minutes later the two walked into the lounge, it was easy to spot Captain Wolfe, he was the tallest person in the room, second to Colonel Hamrick, Nick went in search of a drink while Kata moved to speak to Wolfe. "Captain, Colonel, Witwer you look stunning." she said with a smile. Wolfe had his drink raised to his lips when Harris walked up, for a moment he lost his train of thought upon the pilot in a dress. "Ka- Major, I am glad you could join us." he said with a friendly smile.

She could feel the eyes of his men on her. At least she was still able to turn heads. The top half of her jumpsuit did little for anyone’s imagination since it hugged the right places, everywhere. Which meant she needed a jacket sometime down the line. Hearing Hamrick, “oooooh,” she winced, “that’s high heels. Kudos to him in walking and landing in that show.” While she did not watch it, she had heard of it at least. “More power to him.”

“Studies paid off,” she agreed. And she had made it to Vedas Project and lived to tell the tales so far. It was hard not to tell your parents what you did for living. She was sure her father would be proud and horrified at the same time. “Mine was,” she told Steve, “After all, he was paying for my education till high school.” Naval Academy came with it own set of rules and whatnot. When she had come to Stargate Academy, half the time she had to lie her way out.

Seeing the look Wolfe was giving his men, she smirked, “I can handle them if they get too rowdy after few drinks,” she assured Wolfe. She could easily taken them on in heels too. Unless she twisted her leg. Hearing about the drink, “I’ll grab it.” she told Wolfe, not realising that Harper was already heading there. Taking a look at Harris, Billie looked impressed, “I like your dress, and thank you.”

Bobby had been around long enough to notice Witwer’s outfit. Seeing the look Wolfe’s men were giving her. He was half tempted to cover her bare shoulders with his coat he wore. When their attention diverted, he looked his wife, “Keep tabs on them,” he told her, “They try anything funny on Witwer, I’m gonna hurt them bad.” Knowing that both did not have any drinks, “Do you want me to get you something?”

Hearing her answer, Bobby made his way to the bar that was set up. Noting Harper and Harris had joined, he pour his drink and another for Cooper. “Harper,” Bobby greeted his XO, as he leaned over a bit, lowered his voice, “your girlfriend is half naked, over there.” He waved it in the general direction of where Witwer was with some company. Attraction between the Harper and Witwer hadn’t gone past anyone’s eye. He wasn’t sure who they were trying to fool with ‘we are friends line’. Bobby was old enough to know better,

Warren came over to welcome Lily back, interrupting her conversation with the good Colonel, "Are you really going to be in so much trouble that you need medical attention?? Well since I'm off duty, I don't really need to patch you you know.." Lily said, trying to tease Warren..

'Please don't be a jerk, I can't handle those today.. This outfit is quite revealing why did I pick it again??' Lily thought to herself..

Steve looked around the lounge. "I do like the inside, reminds me of my younger days. Except I know who I'm going home with already."

Harper and Harris came in then, and Steve nodded to her in response. "Major. Love the dress, green is your color. Designer?"

Steve grinned. "Guys are kind of fun after they get rowdy though, Witwer."

And then Blake and Dr. Tuck were with the small knot of guests and their host. Steve nodded to the doctor. "Fighting for truth and justice, stuff like that."

Blake snorted. "See what I deal with, Doctor? Other guys will be in trouble if they go after Steve."

Steve laughed. "That's my jealous man. And love the look, white is your color. I could never pull off completely white, was so glad when they discontinued the Marine white dress uniform. I am going for drinks, Blake, rum?"

Blake nodded. "It did wash you out, and I really, really like you in dress uniform. Or whiskey if there's no rum."
