Sighing, Bobby looked at Cowden, the man was pushing his own views as Bobby saw it. While he valued the inputs from the civilians they had, he wasn't sure what would be accomplished by having the IOA, aboard the expedition unless picking apart the choices and decision made was the only thing left. At the mention of the Shiva's disappearance. He gritted his teeth again, trying to keep a level head, "Technology is going to get destroyed whether we like it or not. Regardless of under whose care it is in. And we didn't ask the ship to be lost," Robert added the second one, "That was not under our control. I won't be surprised if it was part of Mahadev's grand plan he cooked up." He was wise enough not to pi$$ the man off. His family was still out there, the both the ones in-arms and the two brothers.
Something, he thought time would tell.
Excuses, mishaps? Bobby was sure that wasn't the case. If Elliot wanted to think that, then there was little he could do to change it. In fact, he would let him. While the expedition had nine teams in total. There were only 6 on the base and out of that 3 were actively exploring the other continent that was discovered from the beacon of the destroyed vessel. Over which the IOA were crying over; at least Cowden was, "Fine," he spoke and to shut Elliot up, and after hearing out Daniels, "send one. I won't take the blame if Admiral Oxford throws the person out afterwards. His expedition, his call. Clear?"
Since the start of the whole meeting, Bobby had reserved doubts on Loveridge. He had been about to agree, when the General continued. If he wanted to keep his spot as the XO, he wasn't going to start sassing with a two star General of the Air Force and tick off Travis in process. The army brat might skin him alive.
"We can do a trial run and see how that pans out. Got anyone in mind?" He had been told that his snark was going to land him in trouble over and over again, by his old man. Then again it had helped him survive the years in the Guards as well. Picking up his coffee he sipped it. "We might start with one or two. No point in having more than two to start off with."
At least for his sanity.
