Prince Aeto engaged in a minor skirmish of words with the Oxfords, who explained that they had not abducted him, and that they too had no idea how they had gotten here. The Aeternis noble seemed to be placated by this explanation somewhat, the turned his attention back to Henry, demanding his name and rank.
“I’m, err, Doctor Henry Pratt,” he stammered in reply, unsure if he should extend his hand or not. Shaking hands had proven to be just as popular in this galaxy as back home. It created a physical connection between the two parties, and in order to sake hands weapons must be lowered, making it a sign of peace and goodwill. Despite this, it was also considered offensive, and in some cases a declaration of hostilities, to touch a member of a royal family. Henry elected to not shake hands after a moment of consideration.
“I’m an archaeologist. I study ancient history, civilisations and cultures.” The latter part of the introduction he added just incase Aeto’s people didn’t use the term.
Doctor Tuck, who had been tasked with carrying out medical examinations of the crew to try and work out why they couldn’t remember the last few hours, asked Henry if he knew where the medbay way. It must have been her first time on the ship. The archaeologist smiled and nodded; he remembered all too clearly his first time on the Shiva, which had ended with him looking himself in a broom cupboard which he had mistaken for and elevator.
“It’s down this way. I believe Sergeant Huxley here is a combat medic, and might be able to help.”

Medbay
Henry and the contingent of personnel from the bridge filed into the medbay so Doctor Tuck and Sergeant Huxley could begin their examinations. The archaeologist certainly didn’t feel strange or different in anyway, beyond the fact that he couldn’t remember exactly what he’d been doing before he fell asleep.
Looking around the room, Henry spotted a chair and table, as if set up for an interview, were sitting in the middle of the room for no obvious reason. Something about the chair reminded him of an old mission report he’d read at the SGC, where a Goa’uld memory device had been used to recover the lost memories of SG-1. It was a long shot, but worth a try.
“Do we carry any of those Goa’uld memory recall device on the ship?” Henry asked, looking around for a likely spot that such technology might have been stored. “We could interface it with the microchip Prince Aeto carries inside himself to see if we could access the data for clues?”
