The Inspiration for your Character...

So I thought this might be a fun introdutcions thread. I think we're beginning to get to know each other as much as RPers do, but...I have a nosy question.
Where did the idea for your character come from? If it's carried over from another site/genre, what was the originial charrie like?
Background: RP started for me on the suggestion of my psychologist. I had suffered an assault not unlike Fee's (different circumstance, but similar players), and role playing it helped to relive it safely, come to terms with it, and move on. ANd then, when I went through my divorce, RP also helped, because I could tie in RL events, and get other feedback-a different character will respond much differently than my ex. Finally, it's about as much social interaction as I can handle sometimes; I have been battling Bipolar disorder since I was a young teenager, and at least having an outlet forces me out of bed and to the computer. Some days, that is enough. Most days lately have been good, though.
I will start with Fee.
Fee was originally thought up to be a character at a Criminal Minds RP that has since died. She was a TA there for the FBI's counter-terrorism unit. She is loosely based on Daphne from Scooby Doo, Doogie Houser, and just other random chars. I hadn't yet seen Dr. Who when I made her face claim Karen Gillian, but that was how I discovered it. At the original site, there were no other redheads, and I wanted to be different, and since I am a redhead in real life, it's sometimes easier to play what you know...gingers have a personality all our own. :D
Roger is based on Dr. Who, but also a bit of another char I played at a different CM site (the one I advertised here), and another player's char (with her permission, of course). Over there, Roger was a Medical doctor, the psych was a woman, and then the other woman's char was a psych, as well, but mostly Fee's love interest. And since I have a thing for much older, preferably foreign men (O_O), David Tennant it was. It was either him, or Christopher Eccleston. David won out in the end, because reasons. Plus, I ship the Dr. and Rose, so I can have my little fanatasy, too. :D
Mac is a canon character from the TV show JAG. I also play her at an NCIS board, but more canon there. Here, she is just a Marine, and herself, without the added baggage that the original Mac had. Plus, Himms and I decided that Bobby and Mac are cute, so we did it.
Muses, for me, come mostly from music, but I will defintely edit movies, tv, etc to fit an RP scene. I feel like playing OCs give you far more control over a character and their growth. For me, that is the best part of RP-watching each char grow and change over time.
