Stepping out Bobby was immediately was greeted by Swanson. The man was slightly taller than he was. Not that helped the matters when Harper was taller than both of them. The blasts could be heard and the it's impact could be felt from head to toe. They really needed fire power in space. Shiva wasn't around, he grumbled. He wasn't sure how to get a hold the Lyrians at all. But he was sure Hamrick would know. Getting the updates, he motioned for the members of both teams to fan out.

"Sir," Swanson pointed to Kartikeya, "Who is that?"

Before he fanned out, Akash heard the question, "That's Kartikeya," seeing the bafflement, "He is ally. The eldest son of Maha......."

"No time for a history lesson Doc," Bobby cut him off, "That can come later."

Annoyed at the Captain, he grumbled something un-tellable under his breath and walked away. Admiral was sure to hear of his XO's wonderful attitude. Then again, Malhotra was sure that Admiral was well versed withe Guards's officers behavior and words. Given the man had punched a senior member of the IOA.

Facing Swanson, "What he said," Bobby tipped his head towards the historian, "according to Malhotra and history, Kartikeya's aim is to kill Tarakasura." But the question was how in the galaxy did he find the location of the Alpha site? This was something they would look into. "Where do you want us?"

"Wherever you guys can help out." There was no way Harry was telling his CO where to go, "We can use the teams everywhere. Out med guys have their hands full with the injured."

Kartikeya looked around at the chaos around him, Tarakasur had crossed all limits, "Captain," he looked at Bobby, "Your people can deal with the foot soldiers. I'm going to deal with Tarakasur personally."

He was baffled with Kartikeya called for his bird again. Wasn't it destroyed? The only thing the Coastie could do was watch him leave without another word.

Blake looked to Oxford. "I know some first aid, do you want me to help with the wounded?"

He looked up, whistling too-casually as Kartikeya went to tackle an old enemy.

As Major Swanson gave them an open hand, Steve divied up his team. "Fulcur, me and you go hunting. Malhotra, how can we identify the ground-level commander to cut the chain of command?"

And there was Cooper. He looked at the little Italian. "How much first aid do you know?"

Isabelle looked up at Steve as he asked her how much first aid she knew. "A little more than the basics, nothing extensive." She replied after a moment, "I can assist the medical personnel if that's what you want me to do." She didn't know how much actual 'assisting' she'd be able to do, the last thing Isabelle wanted to do was be under foot. Then again that probably couldn't be helped.

"Then that's what you do. Things on Assam were one thing, this is straight up combat and you're better off back here. If hostile forces get close, shoot them."

AS Blake started helping with the already injured, the military half of SV-3 left. He looked at the Italian ambassador. "Give it time, he'll trust you out there." He gestured toward the woods.

While clearing an injured airman's airway, he talked to Cooper. "Use their own first aid kits, everybody's got one on their tac vests. We might need our own for ourselves by the time the shitstorm is over. And remember your ABCs."

The woods were both bright and thick, and really, Steve knew he'd kill for proper woodland MARPAT instead of the expedition uniform while energy weapon fire hit against and sizzled the tree he'd chosen as cover for the moment.

Oh yeah, as he fired back, he mused that this day was getting better and better. As least Fulcur knew what he was doing.

Nick set to work, he didn't need to be told what to do, he just did what medics were trained to do. It was like second nature to him. As Dr. Warren moved to help one of the many injured, Nick headed to the other side of the room to help out there, the first person he came across was a Marine with what looked like a second degree burn on his chest. "Use their own first aid kits, everybody's got one on their tac vests. We might need our own for ourselves by the time the shitstorm is over. And remember your ABCs."

"Cooper, that means Airway, breathing and circulation. Make sure they are breathing and better yet concious, if there is bleeding then apply pressure and try to stop it till we can get them back to base. Any questions just ask." he called over the rooms noise, he figured Warren probably knew more medically than Cooper so that could be helpful. Nick knelt down next to the burned Marine and started checking his vitals.

Fifteen minutes later they had managed to get most of the severly wounded back to the main base to keep treatment, those who they could treat there they did before sending them thru the Gate to get treatment from a full medical team. But no sooner did they send the current batch of wounded off, did a fresh batch come into the Gateroom, this group looking worse than the last. Nick finished bandaging up another burn and stood up, glancing around he could see more burns, a few broken bones, and the usual cuts and bruises. He hated energy weapons, bullet holes were easier to take care of vs a (oftentimes) extensive area of melted tissue. "Dr. Warrem how are we doing?" he called and he started to move on to the next person.

With some plan of action formulated, and already being acted on, which seemed to please Swanson. Bobby took what remained of the group outside to hold the soldiers at bay. While Swanson took other to the rest. Matt had send a good chunk of personnel from Vedic Base to aide out.

Once outside he was greeted by wind and mid-afternoon sunlight. Ahead of him, he could see army of soldiers coming towards the base. He did estimate the number to be closer to a 100 or so. Which would shock him considering that the Alpha site personnel already had been keeping them at bay. He moved along after assigning people to spot and in groups. Shiva had taken such time to fly off to another sector of this galaxy. He wasn't sure if it was Travis's lousy planning or lack of insight to, well, everything.

Once he was contend with the defense, he found himself a spot, keeled, checked his weapon after placing mags next to his feet and open fired. These guys were messing with the wrong people. Even further behind from the soldiers Mahadev's son was in a fight of his own with Tarakasura. Oh beat him, Bobby thought he shifted his aim.

This was going to be one long fight.

As soon as Fiala had set foot on to the Alpha Site she went straight to work, getting up to date with as quick as possible with the enemy locations and areas they had yet approached from.
She stepped across a number of personal injured in the attack but she paid little attention more focused on getting up to date with the job at hand. She even pushed her way through crowd till finally finding one of the personal who was in contact with the security teams. After a quick talk she had gathered any information that was useful and formatted the rest my deduction. With an order to keep her updated Fiala went straight to the front line, no sooner had she reached the front line did a wave make there attack and try to make a break. If anything Fiala had to give the credit were it was do and that was the Alpha site personal for keeping there ground.

Fiala made her way down the line with only a rough guess on Oxfords location. It wasn't long till finally a finger pointed to the man himself.

Fiala dropped like a plank beside him, with only a glance at the enemy she placed her attention on Oxford knowing he had her back. Taking a map out of her pocket and placing it in front of them she spoke as she pointed out locations.

OK here's what I got, here's were they were first spotted and in large numbers. It sounds like what the Gou'ld use to do, show of force hoping to make the enemy run. After there first attack on the base failed, they seem to of changed from a full attack to pressing the lines, here on the West side they have pushed the most in what I believe that they are trying have us pull more men to this location."With a quick glance to Oxford's face she went back to the map. " Here to North is were they are based, we are here and that is were I believe they are going to make there push. Placing the map back in her pocket she continued, "The soldiers that have so far attacked us are lightly armoured, they have no protection to there backs, there the cannon fodder I guess."

Fiala turned on to her belly looking out towards the approaching enemy. Taking out her sight that was from her rifle that was back on base she took a glance to the back on the enemy formation. She passed it to Oxford " Take a look straight ahead along the tree line. I'd say we may of just got here on time."

Blake tightened a tourniquet on a heavily bleeding arm, twisting the plastic stick and securing the velcro. His hand might have shook a bit as he used a marker from his gear to mark the "T" symbol and the time by his watch, after he wiped dirt and blood off the watch face to get the time. "Peachy, just abso-freaking-lutely peachy."

He focused on tightening a pressure bandage before moving to the next casualty. And gave a determined lack of acknowledgement to the curled lip as he bandaged a burned upper arm. At least most energy weapons cauterized their own wound, there was that. The airman hissed, "I can't believe they've got you helping with the wounded."

Blake only offered a canteen and the pain pills from the first aid kit. "Go sit on it and take the pills. And Colonel Hamrick's on planet."

The paleness had nothing to do with his injuries as he left for evacuation to Vedas. He looked at Harper. "I'm that military spouse. When all else fails, I threaten jackasses with Steve. How many more do we have?"

He worked at bandaging a deep laceration on the next casualty. The pressure bandage looked to be enough to stop the bleeding without using the CAT tourniquet.

Nick could hear the faint hint of a Southern Accent in Blakes voice as he replied to his question. The gate was activating again in preperation to take the next batch of wounded. More and more burns were coming in, and while there was little blood to stop, they had to worry about the casualty going into shock. Nick moved past Dr. Warren to help someone walk to the gate, "Go sit on it and take the pills. And Colonel Hamrick's on planet." he gave Blake a puzzle look as he walked back past,  "I'm that military spouse. When all else fails, I threaten jackasses with Steve. How many more do we have?" he made a mental note to never get on the doctors bad side, he had already (kind of) ticked off Hamrick eariler that day, he didn't want to do it again.

Someone took the marine he had been helping from him and took him thru the gate, Nick turned back and looked around the room. "Five, but that is not counting how things are going outside." speaking of which, they hadn't heard anything in a while. "Cooper get on the radio-" Nick stopped, looking around he frowned, admist the craziness of the room he didn't see the Italian, Nick swore, Hamrick was going to kill him. "You havn't seen Cooper by chance have you?" he asked as he started back to work.

The airman he was handling shook her head as she held her arm up above her heart to help stop the bleeding. "Ignore Candler, Doc, I think you guys are adorable. But don't tell the colonel I said 'adorable.'"

"Phhf, the colonel thinks he's adorable too. Head for evac, keep pressure on your arm like that."

He looked back at Harper. He had a certain look to him,and the anthropologist figured the sergeant had missed what Candler really meant. "There'll be more than. I thought she was," and Miss Cooper was not where Blake had last seen her. "God, I'm glad I got over thinking I had something to prove in the SGC. Maybe she's with Akash?" His tone was hopeful, in that 'what I said probably isn't true' way.

Bark exploded off the latest tree he'd picked for cover and Steve dropped low to move to a better vantage point to pick off the guy shooting at him. At least it looked like Kartikeya was winning the Godly Grudge Match.

The next shot was far too close for comfort as he chose a big dead tree and fired back to put heads down, and moved again to join up with SV-1's line closer to base.

One more choice of big tree brought him to shouting distance of the skipper and Lieutenant Skala.

Nick looked around the room again, not seeing any sign of Cooper he decided to go with what Dr. Warren had suggested; maybe she was with Dr. Malhotra.  He didn't have time to worry about it, they had a job to do, he wiped his hands on his pants as he moved to help the next injured person he saw. Yet another burn, this one on the upper chest of another airman, the poor kid was pale and his eyes wide open. 

"It feels like a really bad sunburn." he said quietly, his eyes moving to look at Nick, though his breathing was rather calm, his pupils were starting to dialate. Nick glanced to the mans namepatch, "Adams, you're the first person I've heard call it that." he replied. In his time back on Earth he hadn't had much experince with burns, most of the stuff he saw was bullet holes and dismembered limbs. He started to grab some dry gauze but realized that he was out, which was weird because he usually carried more than enough. "What's wrong Sergeant?" the Airmen asked seeing Nick frown, "Nothing." he replied.

Harper pulled his knife out, leaning down he started to cut away at the bottom of the mans pant leg, "What the hell are you doing?" Adams asked wincing as he moved, "I am out of gauze and need to cover your burn till we can get you back to base." ripping off a decent size squarish shape Nick quickly folded it up, reaching for his canteen he soaked the fabric with water before lightly pressing it to Adams shoulder, Adams tensed up for a second before relaxing as the cool fabric took away some of the heat of the burn. Before leaving him Nick made sure he took some painkillers just to try and take the edge off.  Deciding his radio had been quiet long enough he activated his, "Harper to Oxford, just checking in to see how things are going?" as he waited for a response he went back to work.

"CHANGING," He shouted.

Defending the home they knew in this side of the galaxy didn't seem to be easy as it looked, Bobby grumbled as he rolled over to sit and change his mag, once he had run out. Out of breath he looked at his XO, "Run?" he asked, "Do we look like chickens to them?" And loaded a new one, locking it, "They press; we press harder." If they pressed harder, the expedition was going to show them that they were not a force to be reckoned with. They were not going to give Tarakaura's men or him the chance to corner anyone.

Pulling men? No way in hell that was happening even it hailed. Readjusting it for aiming, he found himself distracted by the fact the they were armored. Which sucked as there was no way, to kill them without going it the battlefield themselves. Placing more of his men under the line of fire didn't suit him. At the mention of the others, he radioed Swanson to send few men to check the area out. Getting a confirm of the order from the Alpha Site CO, Bobby fired another round from his weapon. As behind them, he heard a loud explosion, "Oh that better not be the base breaking," he muttered, "Or else, Swanson will deal you personally," his words were aimed at the enemy. Swanson didn't strike him as someone who would take crap from anyone, unless they were his CO.

Akash had joined Oxford in the keeping the defense line to keep the flowing numbers of the soldiers at bay. Firing best to his ability and taking few down. He needed his head checked for coming out here. Why he had was beyond him. He paused to look at the war between Kartikeya and Tarakausra. If the storied told him anything, Tarakasura's fall was unavoidable. It was only matter of time before an arrow pierces into evil overlord.

The fight between the two ancient foes was evenly matched. Kartikeya eyed his opponent carefully as he avoided another attack of the sword. "You are wasting your time Tarakasur," Kartikeya warned, "You are no match for them or us."

The only response from the man was to laugh out loud as of he had heard a joke.

Fiala watch as multiple units approached her position, straight away friendly fire took out one fourth of the approaching units and the remainder ducked for cover. Fiala was among those who took fire in the taken out of some of the enemy.
As the enemy took cover there weapons fire was at first erratic making few hits, but that didn't mean they didn't make hits and when they did hit the results were terminal.

With a shout from Oxford of CHANGE, Fiala let of a short burst of fire and than moved forward towards a tree stump to get a clearer shot. A minute later she replied with the same word as she then straight away changed her clip.

As the enemy made there push Fiala could hardly believe the amount of men they were throwing at them. At that moment Fiala noticed a man twice the size of her leading his group forward, clearly he was one of the enemy lower rank leaders and one not scared to lead his men in to battle. All do he was human, Fiala could tell by his build plus the scares on his arms he hadn't lost a battle yet and his presents seamed to inspire the men around him. As he walked forward Fiala watched as each of his shots from his weapon was a direct hit on his target.

With a few short burst of fire Fiala took out two guards that were beside him, straight away he turned to Fiala and a smile glimpsed across his face. As he took up a pace Fiala emptied her magazine on to his armour to little results, two bullets that did hit his arm didn't even make him flinch from the blood and pain.
As Fiala made a push to prevent an impact the enemy officer compensated and with a tackle sent her flying. The impact alone left her dazed and grasping for breath with the air been knocked out of her.
Fiala found herself at one of her team mates feet and gaining her breath she spoke.

" Any chance if I say tag you'll jump in here ?"

Blake was helping another burn casualty, complete with a few bark shrapnel pieces for decoration when he looked up to see, shouldn't Steve be a couple of hundred meters away with the combat arms half of SV-1, but it seemed to be him standing in the open double doors to the outside.

"Did you guys rout the enemy or something this fast?" Blake noticed that the uniform was wrong, not the base uniform but the Shiva's crew uniform.

"We are here to help. The time for isolation on World is over." The Lyrian looked at Harper. The mind was familiar. "You were with on the ones on World before."

"Wait a minute, world with a capital W, I can hear it. Steve told me about you guys!" As Blake cleared his casualty, the Lyrian dropped the mental guise, showing its true form. The tall grey body shimmered with the slime protecting the skin as it broadcast. 'More of our forces are on the planet to help against the Asuras. The Primary has decided that hiding is no longer our most effective tactic. If you fall, the galaxy falls. Which minds do we know in the battle?'

Blake counted rapidly in his head, who was currently fighting that the Lyrians knew from Shiva's emergency landing? "Well, umm, Steve, Miss Cooper, that's it." He thought about Captain Oxford, Lieutenant Skala, Major Fulcur, Akash, as good as he could recall.

Appearance didn't particularly help the Lyrian, but he reached for the mind the Primary had known the best. 'We are in orbit and on the ground. When Kartikeya slays Tarakasur, the rest of the armies will be fought by us with you.'
