Admiral Oxford's Office
He rubbed his face after looking over the files and whatnot that was around. Then his eyes traveled at the new shrink they had. Easy on the eyes, Bobby mused, and slightly crazy if the stories he had heard from Travis were anything to go by. Image of her chasing Travis down the halls of Delta was quite funny. But then that brought him to right where they were, getting briefed over a patient of hers. Not being a desk jockey happy, Bobby tired not to worm his way out of the office. He wasn't really one of the best people to be running a base. He had been doing just that, for the past month since USS Shiva had not been heard from.
Not knowing the fate of the crew and his brothers was going drive him bonkers. For the past few days Doctor Collins had been pestering him to give the people some statues. But there was no way Bobby was willing to stamp them on MIA just yet. If he did he knew it won't be long that it would be replaced with a KIA. Just the idea of MIA made him sick. Bobby didn't know if he could actually do it. Worse there was no one higher than him to oversee the running of the base. SV-2 had been temporary given the "flagship" statues till such time he was sitting in this seat.
"Captain, are you even listening?" a very annoyed Vanessa spoke in a warning, her eyes clearly were daring him to say something stupid. In face she was expecting him to do so. From her observation over the past few weeks. Robert was actually having a little hard time dealing with being a CO and struggling with whole MIA is Shiva. For someone who didn't know him, he more came across as someone who was afraid.
"No," he admitted frankly, and saw Vanessa raise an eyebrow, "Doc, all this babble bores me. Now if you have something are more better, I'm all ears."
Oh, how she wanted to throw a book at him if she could. Frank and Troy didn't have the guts to speak to her like this, not unless they wanted reviews done, "Captain," she repeated his rank firmly, "I don't have to remind you that you are the commanding officer as this stage; whether you like it or not. So you are going to have to learn to deal with all different levels, including this. If you don't like it, do you mind swapping?"
Bobby threw her a daggered glare, "I don't need a reminder, but thank you for being my talking diary,"
With a huff, Vanessa picked up the files and was out the door in a heartbeat. Seeing Calmara down the hall, "You better stop me from shooting this man," she did all but declared, "Or I'm going to glue him to my couch." A session with her just might get him to think twice, before he yapped.
