Thankfully the natives regarded the massive Snow Leopard marked creature as a traveler, or merchant of some form as one of the natives gave one of the humans on the team a bag filled to overflowing with an uncounted number of gems of various colors and sizes. However because Madromas was curious of the other Ancillas the humans possessed, Makes kept close to the human known as Blueberry Yagami. Mostly because Madromas had a direct connection to the others AI system, though rather perimitive by Fijita standards.

When the woman started passing out the gems, a warning blinked briefly on Makes vision. Something of an energy spike. A powersource ? 'Madromas, what was that ?' Makes mentally asked.

[/Unknown energy spike detected, without further information I cannot lock it down. Viewing log/] Madromas replied, activating a second screen and appearing on Makes vision as she spoke [/Energy spike detected, appears to be natural occurance. lack of data; files missing or corrupted/]

'Fine, keep a log, until then, logoff and give me a local map of the area. any energy signatures picked up mark in orange, enemy signatures mark in red. friends in blue. targets in gold.'

[/Acknowledged, logging mission file 00832E, logging off, local map populating/] With that Makes had a wireframe map soon fill in with data before appearing on her vision as a full topographical map.

Her attention was then taken by the human holding out a item. One of the gemstones. a pale pink in color. Once more an energyspike flashed and went away. Logged as something to study later. Taking hold of the gem in her slender yet massive hand, Makes said simply. "Menarik {Interesting} she said as the gem sparked briefly at her touch. The sparks dancing on her fingers. "Sing lunjakan energi, alami. paling menarik {An energy spike, naturally occuring, most interesting}" She had never seen anything like it before.

While holding the jem she said to the woman in thanks simply with "Arigatou {Thanks}"

Blueberry grinned as the snow leopard took the gem, she didn't understand the first part of what Makes said but just dismissed it as her native tongue. Lifting up Miki to see if she was offering a translation and met by a blank screen. She had been given orders to keep quiet after all. baka. Blue said to her tablet, turning herself off at such an important time. She went to take a closer look when Makes' gem sparked glancing back at her own which had done nothing.

It was then the Makes thanked her taking her by surprise a little. Makes knows Japanese too? Do all aliens know Japanese? Eh!? Nihongo? Nande?{Japanese? Why?} The curiosity in Blue's voice was all but apparent, Blue wasn't all that surprised. She'd gotten used to talking in plain Japanese with Aear and Makes was only her second alien.

Sinead strolled behind the group in her own little world feeling more happy than she'd ever been, but as she looked she couldn't help but admire the beautiful rolling landscape and think about home which reminded her of her Irish dancing . She remembered the dresses she use to wear were so beautiful and with out thinking she convinced her self she use to look as beautiful as the landscape it's self . In a low tone as if speaking to back herself up she spoke .

" I was beautiful" She giggled to herself and quickly stopped to stop anyone noticing ." I am beautiful, even more than ...

Her eyes at that moment only saw Blueberry, Sinead wondered was pretty but not as beautiful as her and as she taught about it she couldn't help but start to doubt herself . As an empty feeling appeared in her stomach and nervous twitching of her fingers with a fading smile she taught to herself . Was Blueberry more beautiful . Sinead taught to help find a reason .

I'm prettier than her by far, she has no right to think that she is and who gives her even the right to think of it . Will I tell her or maybe no I won't . But she needs to know .

She rubbed the Jem in her hand, with every rub she knew she was more beautiful and the urge to speak it finally came out just loud enough for Blueberry to only hear or so she taught .

" You know I'm more beautiful Blueberry , you better know that . You'll never be as beautiful as me so deal with it .

A smile drifted back to Sineads as a burden was released .

Blueberry span round when she heard her name. It was Sinead that spoke, telling Blue that she was far prettier. Surprise didn't take Blueberry. Instead Blue's mind went to calculating such an outburst. The smile on Sinead's face along with the nature of such an outburst. There was only one explanation and as Blue gripped her gem tighter she only became more sure of herself, her mind clearer.

For you to come out with such an outburst it's quite clear that you're jealous of my beauty and have no confidence in your own. Said Blue coldly. Both her face and voice almost devoid of emotion as if she was stating a common known fact. She just stared blankly at Sinead waiting for her next move.

As Blueberry replied Sinéad's fingers twitched again, more than it had before with her mind raced with the taught and trying to comprehend how Blueberry could even believe what she said . That empty feeling she felt before was returning again and she couldn't bare the empty feeling with the idea of even to be seen as second best . She had never expected been second best before when did her dancing and why should she take been second best now . Her fingers went from a light twitching to a shaking of her hand in front of her chest while the other hand started to take the safety of her gun on and of over and over .
She knew what Blueberry really looked like on inside and Sinéad knew she just had to show everyone what she looked like on the face . The same taught ran over in her head,
' I'v won first place, how can a geek be better than than me of all people . I'm prettier, I'm prettier, I'm prettier...'
She passed the Jem to her other hand . With the safety off on her weapon Sinéad let her weapon hang and than took off the clip that held her knife . With that feeling of just be been worthless growing left her with no choice but to take the following actions . She slowly took out her knife, knowing and a hundred percent sure if she slit Blueberry's face she could be prettier and make her point .

" Lets see how pretty you are ?"

Blueberry stared coldly at Sinead. Blue had tried to see the woman as a decent person as she did with most people. She never did understand this obsession with personal appearance that others had. Was it her superior intelligence that she saw the whole thing as an almost useless endeavour. If was one of the reasons she didn't have too many friends. Even at school she would shy away from those who tried to compete with hers and everyone else's beauty. The kind of people she disliked. Those that thought a persons worth was how they looked or how strong they were. As that thought swept through her mind Sinead pulled out her knife.

Lets see how pretty you are.

Blueberry just stayed staring at Sinead. The fools response. said Blue simply. She looked around and spotted a fairly study looking branch lying on the ground. Her father had insisted that she drilled in Kendo each day since she was little, though she questioned whether some of his lessons were strictly Kendo and not his own crazy game. She held the stick in front of her firm in one hand the gem in her other. Every time she squeezed it only seemed to calm and reassure her.

When you ladies have finished with your cat fight, I'd like to inform you that the gems you hold have some sort of spell woven into them. came Miki's computerised voice from Blue's tablet.

Mahou? questioned Blue taking her gaze away from Sinead.

Playing with his own rock he had picked up, he turned to the voice that spoke, and prrrfted at the women, "You both are pretty," he tired ending the verbal fight could have turned into a follow blown cat fight. He was being  his usual charming self.

He did rather get into a fight with Matt or Si but his oldest cousin was tall, very tall, but Si was too busy poking his nose in books to care about fighting. He wasn't allowed to teach Trav and Pat to fight, unless he wanted to get grounded and not have cookies. Bobby shredded at the idea of spending time with his grandmothers flowers and other girly stuff.

Making a face he looked at the computer that spoke, and scoffed, "There are no such things as spells." He informed the thing smartly, "or you need to be replaced."

Girls and their fairy magic kingdom needed to get out of the boys corner and fast. 

Girls he shuddered again as he walked towards the gate.

Sinéad just stood there holding the knife firmly in her hand, thinking of the joy she would feel after destroying her face but before she got any closer her mind raced again with dread of what might happen if Blueberry used the stick on her . She held the Jem tight with in a fist which she held to her temple and whispered to herself,

" I'm not ugly, no no no .."

Putting the knife away Sinéad just smiled a Blueberry and pulled her hand away from her head trying to look as normal as possible . The more she taught about it the more it eat in to her, now she began to doubt herself in her beauty and she could feel her insides cave in . She just by past Blueberries now more focused on herself as she walked towards the gate .

Blueberry dropped the stick as soon as Sinead sheathed her weapon. She placed her gem back in its pouch and a sudden realisation of what could of just happened sank in. Blueberry was not an outspoken person nor would she normally have the courage to face Sinead like that. She might have been able to reason it with a stranger by never seeing them again but with a team mate Blue wouldn't be able to speak up like that.

Sorry... whispered Blue shyly as Sinead brushed by. As the team headed back to the gate Blue hung back with the snow leopard. She'd had enough of human interaction for one day.

He made faces as he listned to the group as while hey headed to the gate. If these girls did not stop talking, he was not keeping himself in their company. They just talked....alot. He slowly turned to see them as their bickering came to erupt end. He was still playing with the gem in his head throwing it in the air like it was a ball. He watched James dial the gate and pocketed the stone.

By the time the wormhole had been formed Captain Robert Oxford was back to his old from of a 40 something year old man. He blinked a little to clear the cloud of bafflement from his brain. What the heck had happened? he wondered. But decided that he did not want to know the oddness of what he had just experienced. He was far from home as it was. New discoveries still boggled his mind on days he would forget that he wasn't on Earth anymore.

"Interesting people," he muttered, as his team stepped through the gate as he and James took a last look, before stepping through the water like connection that took them home.
