Fee now felt badly that she had asked Koren to keep her secret...it was probably against some rule, and she was asking him to break it. But he didn't seem to mind.
Yes...yes, of course I will...And I'm sorry for freaking out like that... She smiled lightly, and nodded.
'Tis OK...I know why you did. I would've. Probably would've screamed and hightailed it out. I never before liked dogs. And as a general rule, I prefer cats. But like I said, it appeased my father, and he's adorable, besides. I saw him on the telly; one of those adverts where they feature the "pet of the week" at the kennel?! He was there, as part of a litter. By the time I got in, though, all his brothers and sisters had been adopted. He was the last one left. They said he was the runt, and he was a little sick. I couldn't let him just live there...there were other dogs, bigger ones that would probably have been better choice as a watchdog, but the bigger ones frightened me. So Jacques it was, she explained to Koren.
Koren agreed to hold Jacques, and she laughed when Jacques licked him, and Koren commanded that he stop. It was sort of like watching a little boy all of a sudden-joy in the simplicity of human and dog interaction. It feel quiet for a moment, before Koren touched her shoulder as she explained WHY she'd brought him along. His reply was quick, and sounded genuine.
I wouldn't want you to...I'm glad he's here. She looked up at him.
Really?! I had assumed most everyone would be upset... She knew she would be if she were in charge, and happened upon an employee with a dog that wasn't meant to be there. I should probably tell the Admiral soon... SHe sighed. She didn't want to do that. BUT she knew that someone along the way would figure it out, and she would be in MORE trouble. Who knew?! Maybe Admiral Oxford had a thing for dogs, and would be overjoyed. She somehow doubted that, though.
Koren spoke again, staring at her intently.
I'm glad you're here... She felt herself turn red again. She smiled at him once more.
I am glad YOU'RE here...really. It's made a normally uncomfortable situation a little more...bearable. She wished she could read the expression on his face. She moved slightly, not really sure what she was doing.
Suddenly, a familiar voice interuppted the scene.
Aear was singing. She bolted upright and made for the door.
Bloody arse. Zelda! LORT*! Teaches me to leave him alone. He's like a child. I want to continue this later...I want to hear what you had to say. But go find a shirt first. Leave Jacques; he's fine. Also, can I borrow your gun to shoot Aear?! Please? She was talking fast as she made her way down the hall. She was going to kill the cat man....
As she approached the Bridge, she made her eyes big, and spoke as loudly as she could.
Drop that radio, you bloody pikspiller*. Now. Turn. Explain. She stood there, her arms crossed, her most mom-type look on her face.

(OOC: Lort is Danish for "Sh*t", and pikspiller is "wanker." When Fee is pi$$ed, she speaks Danish...)
