Patient Room #149
New Sadra State Asylum
Theria
Under the fuzz of the antipsychotic, Blake relaxed. Ciana reached for the wrist restraints and unfastened them. "There now? Feeling better, are we? You're lucky, you know. We're the only hospital in the state to be using chlorpromazine to treat the insane. I mean, not that Dr. Melnis hasn't helped hundreds of people surgically with your problem, sweetheart."
Blake watched her check the chart on the bed with at best mild interest and she made a face. "Erm, Blake, right. You just relax."
"No, I mean, please. If you just let us go to the stargate, I can show you I'm not crazy." He made an effort to be docile and non-threatening, which was easy to do on the drug.
She smiled in the way of humoring her patient. "Of course, tomorrow we'll take you to your stargate."
Blake fell back on the bed with a sigh. He was tired, had no tolerance yet to the Thorazine, and the bed was comfortable enough for being in an asylum. He was going to fall asleep, even if he probably shouldn't.

Patient Room 148
New Sadra State Asylum
Theria
Dr. Thein Melnis had picked the oldest of the three men at largely random.
Radon had pushed for the chlorpromazine with 149-B but Melnis had claimed 148 for his own research. He entered the room, adjusting the sleeves of his fine white coat.
One of the orderlies was guarding the patient, as Melnis shook his head. Poor, wretched man. But he had the solution that could get people out of the hospitals. "Well, hello! I am Dr. Melnis, visiting psychiatrist here at New Sadra Asylum. I'm told your name is, umm," Melnis checked his chart. "Bobe? Tell me about this other place of yours, Bobe, your home planet. How did you come to our planet?"
Melnis held a fine silver pen as he was ready to take notes. The severity of the delusion would tell him how radical a leucotomy the man would need. He hoped he could avoid severing too many of the nerve connections in the frontal lobe.
