The three nodded, Tatora-Dawn chuffed something as he looked out the door, weapon drawn from its magnetic plate at the right hip. The plasma rifle powered up, Tatora-Dawn grunted something, Fates-Eternal tossed the Cheetah a cylinder, the cheetah pressed something on the rifle, exjecting a spent plasma cell as Springs-Eternal spoke to the two humans. Activating her hardlight hologram she appeared as a dark blonde almost asian woman in appearance. She spoke first to Izzy. "You are sure you are alright ?" Of course information scrolled over Springs-Eternal's eyes unseen in her HUD, yep, vitals were in the green all across the board so to speak.

Then she turned to Steve. His vitals were all in the yellow, or red zones. His leg looked ready to entirely give out, and his lung was threatened by a broken rib. then his wrists were bloodied as well. Springs growled something, her twin brother answered and a massive paw went to the other tigers ear. Springs-Eternal then spoke apparently english, which to the Fijitia was known as Basic. "Sit down here" She said pointing at the table Steve was briefly on as a prisoner

Springs reached to her belt and withdrew a box, it was plain white in appearance, looked akin to a hexagonal gem in design, yet upon it was a neon green outlined in purple H like symbol. In this case it was the basic first aid kit every squadmember carried. Popping it open as she waited for Steve to comply she went through the contents of the kit. A almost destroyed knee could easily be treated at the Medical District back home she mused to herself, which meant she had to make it last that long.

Biofoam it was. And maybe a splint ? Then there was the lung and broken ribs. Her scan found at least three ribs had been atl east cracked, and possibly two were actually broken diredctly with one threatening to break skin, again so to speak, into the lung to cause internal bleeding. Which meant that cut would be attended first with the biofoam to hold the bone in place long enough to see the Medics on Fijitia Prime

Of course the question of WHY the rest of Makes squad was there, and the fact that Springs-Eternal had mentioned the cheetahs mother was clearly apparent to be asked

At the door Fates-Eternal spoke into his radio "Huntress, we have the package, but its damaged, orders ?"

Makes voice came back clear also in their native langauge "prep medical kits for evac to the dropship, Soon as we're all out Eternal Star will level this complex entirely, prisoners ?"

"Negative, packages are secured. Minimal injury to the woman as expected, complaint of slight headache" Fates replied

"Head for the surface, I will meet you there, Silence is going to join you as reare guard. Her holo is active. Huntress out" Makes replied. Fates nodded at that note, patting Tatora-Dawn on the shoulder as the male tiger activated his hologram, a young asian male appeared with a crewcut style haircut as Tatora looked more like Vin Disel on way too much PEDs.

Fates spoke "We are to get to the surface as soon as you are done, sis" He said to Springs, the female nodded. "Makes will meet us on the Eternal Star, we are to get to the surface, get aboard a dropship to get to the carrier itself." He then told Steve "Is there anything left here you want ?"

As he spoke a woman with obsidian black skin stepped into view, her brilliant white hair reflected light quite well, buit it was the lavender feline eyes that gave awa that the rear guard had arrived. a pair of long siletto knives in hand, both of which were quite bloodied already were in her slender hands. Fates smiled at the new arrival and spoke to introduce her "This is Speaking-With-Silence, sadly due to a birth defect she is unable to speak, she will be our rear guard"

Steve gave her a slightly incredulous look as he put his uniform blouse back on over the green uniform T-shirt. "You don't look fine, Cooper."

But he sure didn't either. He just had to get her and Collins and Andre out alive and in better condition than him.

It would be the one tiny thing he'd have done right today amid a whole string of crappy decisions. It was that stubborn spirit, a lifetime's self-doubt, that made him grit his teeth as she drew her weapon.

At least Izzy's hands weren't shaking anymore. He pushed away from her, shutting down and pulling back. "I'll live."

Springs pointed to the operating table, wanting him to sit, and everything in him recoiled at the idea. Like if he did, this would be nothing but wishful thinking, an escape from what was really happening.

He did it though, she couldn't try to help stopgap his busted-up body if he didn't sit down. As he tried not to react to feeling of the bloody leather band he'd forced his hand through pressing into his leg. "Not that we're not grateful, because fighting down seven floors was not my idea of a good time, but how did you all show up? I didn't know Makes was phoning home."

Not that the giant cats would get the reference. He spread his arms out slightly to let her work, even if that hurt too. "We've got all our gear, so no. Just the rest of my team. Do you have the good drugs in there? Local soldier gave me morphine but not much."

As all the cats raised their holograms, it was the pain and a little bit of hysteria that made him wonder if finding Tatora-Dawn kind of hot meant he was secretly a furry.

He nodded to acknowledge Silence. Did she have a sign language maybe then? "Steve Hamrick."

Springs got to work as Steve sat down, the biofoam can was about as big as the typical spray on aftershale spray bottle, about palm sized. A long razor thin nozzle went to the cut on Steves chest. "This will sting a little" Springs warned, She hit the control and the biofoam neatly slid into the cut, filling the cavity with a self sealing foam that could hold the bones in place until Steve saw the medic good and proper to heal up. Her scan of his knee showed worse off, but she still had a lot of biofoam as her brotyher tossed her his medical kit.

Before going to his knee she withdrew from her belt a strip of thick purple leather. Holding it to Steve she said simply "Bite this tight, and trust me" Her index finger of her right hand extended into a very wicked claw as she went to his knee. Best case scenario, Steve could run out of there to the dropship on the surface and not take further injury.

A single slit of skin breaking was all it took for Steve for sure, but Springs asked him to trust her, and she knew exactly what she was doing, humans from other planets she had done medical aid on wasnt much different than humansn from other planets now where they ? Makes had said something of humans being from an entirely different GALAXY and that they still used the relics kept on certain worlds.

A heartbeat after the pain of the cut at his nearly broken knee came the sweet relief from pain as the seemingly ice cold biofoam filled the wound and gently remeshed the knee properly so Steven could edtand, walk and run if he had to do so with little to no pain. After a full minute Springs looked to Steve "How does that feel ?" By then the pain of the broken knee was gone, the biofoam could hold long enough to get to either s ships medical bay or direct to the medical district on Fijita Prime.

Silence smiled simply and bowed her head in greeting to Steve, thankfully she knew signlangauge, it was due to a cleft palet as a newborn panther cub to her mother that she couldnt speak, but her mother cared for her regardless. The black skinned woman looked like something directly out of Forgotten Realms, in this case a Drow like Elven woman, her ears were pointed, her hair long and bone white. Her armor however was unique, it wasnt a bikini or as high tech looking as Springs or Tatora,. It was made of interlocking lames of leather and what looked like rubies giving a metalic red hue.

And it was all hardlight, Silence natural form was a buck naked Black Panther at around the same height of Steve himself. And since she was unable to speak, she did infact know signlanguage, she just hoped Steve understood it well enough as she slid one of the silettos into her left hand and motioned to Springs. Can he walk ? What of her ? Izzy looked alright, as far as Silence could scan wasnt too much damage made. Should I inform Eternal Star of medical bay readiness ?

"Three questions, three answers" Springs replied as she replaced the spent can of biofoam within the medical kit "One, I know so, two, just a headache ?" Springs threw a glance of question towards Izzy at that mention, then said "Three, yes, the mt Twins have a possible gas vic, a member of their team" that meant Vanessa had been gassed out ?

"You are sure you are alright ?"


"You don't look fine, Cooper."

Isabelle gripped her gun tighter and shot Steve a look as he moved away from her, he was suddenly acting like nothing had happened, he was perfectly fine and nothing had happened to them. "Not that we're not grateful, because fighting down seven floors was not my idea of a good time, but how did you all show up? I didn't know Makes was phoning home." as he moved back to the stretcher she noticed that he seemed hesitant to even be near the object, but she could not blame him. 

The Fitjian who had introduced herself as Spring started to work on Steve, Isabelle did not watch at Spring started patching up the wound on Steves chest, "Bite this tight, and trust me" at this she looked over to the bed, Spring was handing Steve something to bite, "Wait a second." she said as she started towards the bed, they could not operate there, the room was far from a sterile environment and Steve did not have any type of pain killer, but by the time she reached the bedside Spring already had a claw out and was moving to cut into Steves knee. Not knowing what to do besides just stand there, Iz grabbed Steves hand, "Squeeze it if you need to." she told him as Spring started cutting, at the sight of the tissue slicing open she closed her eyes, she did not want to risk getting sick again.


It was the fastest surgery she had ever witnessed, just as soon as it started it was done and Spring was putting away her supplies all while talking to someone, possibly Makes. The tall Fijitan cast a glance at her then looked away, "I am fine." she told everyone as she let go of Steves hand and moved away from the bed, her eyes moved around the room, "Like I said, my head just hurts some, I am tired and the nausea is probably just the baby, so if we could possibly hurry up and get the hell out of here without anyone else doubting me when I say I am fine, I would appreciate it!"

Steve nodded. 'This will sting a little' always meant 'a lot.' But he was good with pain. And if the ribs would stop hurting and his knee would stop hurting and he could actually move to get Izzy and himself out alive, worth it.

The stuff was cold but the pain of broken bone shifting under skin stopped significantly. He could breathe fully without feeling poked under his skin.

Springs offered the leather and Steve grimaced. The knee was all a closed fracture, so he already knew what she had to do. But the thought he'd been pushing back, damaging it to the point of being medically retired if he had to walk on it out of here with just the splint, made him sit still for impromptu field surgery even as Izzy looked disturbed at his side.

He took the gag and sighed. "For the record, I usually have a weight at hand for this." He bit the leather as he felt Izzy take his hand. The incision was small, but the morphine hadn't been enough of a dose to completely erase immediate pain.

The cut was short at least and the foam killed the pain and eased the swelling.

Steve tried carefully extending and flexing his knee. He didn't have full range of motion but he could walk enough he figured. To answer Springs, he spit the gag out. "I'll live long enough to escape, so that's all I need."

He nodded as Izzy re-inforced that she was okay in her own way. "Yep, you're fine."

Steve released his P-90's charging handle and the bolt slammed forward with unmistakable noise to chamber a round. He got off the table, and he could at least walk across the room without feeling like the bones were grinding together as he cleared the hallway with the P-90. "I know we're on the fifth level from the surface. Elevator was to the left when we got marched up here from the corridor by the gate room." He gritted his teeth at the mention of someone being gassed. He thought he could carry either woman if he had to. Or the Fijitians could easily.

In the moment, it seemed that Capan and Adel had taken their orders seriously. But he could hear footsteps coming in a hurry. And hoped the young medic wasn't armed or was smart enough to drop a weapon immediately, as he flicked the weapon to semi-auto and gestured to the Fijitians. "we've got incoming. One might be a friendly, sort of."

Springs snagged the strip of leather before it hit the ground and defelt folded it into the medical pack. Her other hand went to Steves knee to ensure it was solid enough to walk on for a longer than expected period. )Once he sgtretched and said his thoughts she nodded after using two fingers to gently mesh the biofoam around to hold it steady and let Steve feel minimal if any pain when walking or running. "It will hold until we get aboard Eternal Dawn. Once we get there I'll take you to the medical hall aboard." A strange spiny like weapon formed off her right hip, it was a pair of such weapons actually, white and green glasslike spikes poked out the backs and tops of the strange weapons

Friendly incoming ? Well that was a welcome relief. Of course as the poor Athernda medic came blasting arouns the corner scared for his life did he somehow take Tatora-Dawn entirely by surprise and run smack into Steve, the Cheetah reached for the guy but halted seeing the look Steve threw his way, with a throaty growl Tatora-Dawn lkead the way and they took Capan along.

Silence took up the rear. Silettos ready for use. Since the elevators were out of whack, that meant taking the stairs ever upwards. Which then left the next level. So as the group of four felines and three humans arrived at level six of the complex did it be made known just who got gassed out. Two mountain lions, both female, stepped out of a ruined office, one of them was carrying Vanessa in their arms bridal style as Springs spotted the pair she shot forwards, her scan going to work. "Looks like we have our gassed team member. Have you heard from Madromas ?" She asked in Fijitian, which to steve sounded like two big cats growling and meowing at one another. The mountain lions shook their head.

[/All teams head for the surface, Athendsa reenforcements are enroute. echoed Madromas over the fijitan comm channel.

Think of the devil Springs thought. she motioned to Steve "The Athendas are sending reenforcements, the relics is useless, we have to get to the surface now." Springs said "Fates, Tatora, southeast, northeast, stairs. Now" Springs said, even though her brother was the second in command of the troop with Makes at their head, Springs normally was the voice of reason given the fact that Tatora-Dawn's own mother had been found by Makes which brought the whole squad to ground

Tatora nodded and headed for the stair door as Silence stepped into view, rapid motions were made and Tatora shook his head. Silence nodded and disappeared, much to the sheer horror of Capans expression. Speaking-With-Silence had left a LOT of dead in her wake as was easily seen in the stairwell

On Level seven it left Az and Makes alone with the single Athenda taskmaster, Makes of course was watching how the former brutal woman went from brutal and intimidating to meek and scared for her life thanks to the feline now in the room. Makes of course didnt instigate a fight, she simply stood by the door and waited for Az to react or move or something, Az seemed in shock briefly. Everything had happened so quickly.

It was the "all Naraka breaking loose" that had Capan running back to the interrogation room. He stopped dead at seeing more of the giant cat creatures currently invading the base.

Were these what Colonel Hamrick's people really were? He had Adel still with him but Capan wasn't armed.

Then he saw Colonel Hamrick and gulped in fear, his hands away from his body as he looked down the barrel of the weapon.

Steve knew he'd have to injure the medic to protect him. If he stayed on Athenda. He jerked his head at the blown door. "Your CO's dead and we're leaving. Put the gun down, Adel. I don't want to kill anyone else today if I don't have to."

His finger was curled just lightly on the P-90's trigger. If he had to kill Adel, he didn't mind at all. But he didn't want to hurt Capan. And maybe Harper wouldn't mind taking on another soldier in the infirmary, if the kid would desert from these people. Steve gestured their Fijitian rescue back from both youngsters before the big cats could get trigger happy.

The medic looked at his fellow soldier. "Just do it, Adel. We don't have any advantage."

All weapons were raised and pointed at both of the Athendans, while Capan had a look of shock on his face, Adels was more that of anger. He did not say anything as he looked at his commander lying unmoving in a pool of blood, his throat viciously ripped out. Had it been the humans or did one of their stupid furball terrorist friends do the deed? Either way it was cold blood, and they would pay.

 
"Your CO's dead and we're leaving. Put the gun down, Adel. I don't want to kill anyone else today if I don't have to."

Adel glared at Hamrick, now up on his feet, his weapon back in his hands again, even the small female had a gun raised, "Just do it, Adel. We don't have any advantage." Capan said as he raised his hands up, “You always have been a coward, I never understood why the Commander kept you around!” after all this was said and done he considered killing the medic, a long walk on the surface would do him some good and they could always find a new medic. Someone with a backbone.

“Capan…we did not have a choice.” Isabelle started to say that she was sorry but she wasn’t, the medic gave her a cautious glance, Adel just glared at her, “You think that now you have weapons that you’re just going to leave!?” he asked looking at everyone again, “You’re going to pay for what you did, making a martyr out of-“ the gun Isabelle held went off and Capan let out a cry of pain as he crumbled to the ground clutching his upper thigh.

She had been aiming for his arm, but hit the leg, at least it was better than killing him, if he decided to come with them then they could treat the wound themselves, if he did not then at least it did not look like Capan just let them leave and risk getting killed for helping them. Adel looked down at Capan who was trying to put pressure on his wound, “Shame you missed.” He said with a shake of his head before looking to Cooper again as he stepped over Capan, as he moved closer Isabelle adjusted her aim slightly, this time determined to send the next shot right through Adels chest.

Her finger tightened on the trigger..

Her eyes went from Adel to her gun as she realized that her plan of action had failed, “You try to get that working, meanwhile I am going to kill him, and while reinforcements deal with your friends, I’ll kill you.” While the Fitjins had patched Steve up as best they could, he still had internal injuries to look out for not to mention his leg being in a fragile state, Adel on the other hand was healthy, injury free, and looking for blood.

“Perdonami, figlia mio” she muttered as she brought her arm back and threw her gun at Adel as hard as he could before lunging at him. Even though he was much taller than her and probably out weighted her a good bit, he had not expected her to react the way she did, Adel was just about to land a strong punch to Steve’s face when the short woman wrapped her arms around his waist cause him to fall. Isabelle did not really know what she was doing, she just knew that she had to stop Adel, stop him and make him pay for what he did.

Adel was quick to get on top of her, Iz brought her hands up to defend her face but then another thought crossed her mine, he was sitting on her stomach and that only angered her more, then Adel suddenly had a knife in his hand, it looked like the one Sadren had carried but shorter, she needed the dominate body position and fast. Adel brought his knife hand down and Isabelle did the only thing she could think of, she grabbed the blade with her bare hands. The blade made quick work of slicing through the soft skin of her palms, Iz gritted her teeth and tried avoid crying out in pain as she used all her strength to keep Adel from bringing his hand any closer, but also helping the knife cut deeper into her skin, in the midst of the struggle Adel shifted his weight and in that moment Isabelle brought her knee up into the man’s groin. It was a cheap shot but there was also a reason why they taught it in basic self defense classes. 

Now it was Adels turn to cry out in pain, his hold on the knife weakened causing him to drop it as his attention was turned elsewhere and the pain that was not radiating from the sensitive spot. Isabelle let go of the blade, blood now flowing from the deep cuts on her hands. Yes in that moment she could have just pushed Adel off of her and let someone else take care of him but anger and adrenaline was running the show now, this man had tried to kill her and harm her unborn child.

She wanted him dead.

Adel was doubled over in pain, his hands pressed between his legs, Iz scrambled till she was sitting on his chest, her knees firmly pressed into his armpits. Last time she had been in this position with a man it was Col. Hamrick and he was tapping her arm to tell her to stop squeezing; now there would be no tapping. Her hands screamed in pain with each movement but she did not let that stop her from grabbing Adels shirt collar and twisting as tight as she could, her blood soaking the fabric. Adel fought back, but as the seconds ticked by his movements became more and more sluggish till he finally stopped all together. As she watched the light slowly fade from the man’s eyes the roaring in her ears slowly stopped and she realized that someone was yelling. It was Steve.

“COOPER!”

She was pulled off Adel, even in his injured state Steve still could lift her up like it was nothing, “What the bloody hell?!” he asked, but she was not really listening, Isabelle was looking down at her hands as he spoke realizing that it was probably stupid of her for even grabbing the knife in the first place, not having any way to stop the bleeding she pressed them to her sides, soaking her shirt with blood in the process. “I was tired of being timid.” She said quietly, as she took a deep breath, her heart still racing, “And I wasn’t going to risk anything happening again, not now, not ever.” Iz said as she rested a bloodied hand on her stomach where for the first time in hours her baby was fluttering around.

Springs turned her gaze at the last minute, it was her job after all to see to the wounded, Fates simply kept his view, and focus on what was around them as screams behind them and in the stairway were heard as Izzy took on Adel. Capan laid on the floor and struggled to a wall to lean against as Steve pulled Izzy off Adels dead form. Well, that was that. "There isnt time, the sooner we get to the surface the better" Springs said, as she did so Silences FoF tag went off bright green, the path was once again clear. "I dont have any more biofoam. But I can at least wrap your hands to stop the bleeding" She said to Isabelle. Gently she began to do just that, gently but quickly.

When she was done the group headed up after meeting with the Mountain Lion twins that carried Vanessa in their arms. they heard nothing from Makes who was with Az on level seven at that same moment. But when asked of what happened between Az and the Athenda taskmaster woman, Makes would take that secret to her grave, never telling a soul

But they never saw their fearless leader nor Az as they stuck to the stairwells to the top level, it grew noticably colder. And the closer they got to the outside entry the more feline soldiers they saw. Lions, tigers, servals, leopards, jaguars, even what had to be a white tiger or two keeping watch and searching through the Athenda supplies on base. Whe nthey saw the squad showint up, minus Makes and Silence, the feline soldiers nodded as Silence simply just ghosted into view next to Steve, the massive solid black Panther smiled to Steve and motioned him forwards through the door

It was time to go.

Of course the Panther knew that Steve was staring at so many big cats all around them, most likely freaked out, giant cats using technology and weaponry beyond his ken, yet calm and colelcted and in no way aiming to harm the humans Makes had befriended. there were dozens of Big Cats milling a bout, each armed with ploasma weaponry.

But when they stepped outside the base, into the blizzard outside, it was supposed to be deadly cold, and yet. Thanks to the dropships, and the weapons fire on the ground to clear the area out it wasnt that bad. It seemed that the words Steve said upon arrival and witnessing Makes vanishing act of wanting to talk tech was going to bite him in the butt.

Not only would they talk tech, but he'd witness the Fijitian technology in action firsthand just by sign of the U shaped dropships both wings were opened disgorging two dozen troops. An officer of a sort spotted the group as they emerged from the complex. Makes had yet to be seen however she sent a missive that they'd be on the ship shortly.

It was time to board the dropship. Ensuring she was the last aboard Silence smacked the hull twice, the pilot nodded and the engine roared lifting the dropship, with Steve, Izzy, and Vanessa aboard along with all of Makes team into the air as the dropship doors sealed.

Fates then spoke once they were all inside the dropship as it raised and the doors closed "We'll be on the Eternal Star in moments, how is the knee ?" Springs was seeing to Izzy for her hands.

As the dropship left two women exited with the rest of the fijitan soldiers from the complex and boarded another dropship with the rest of the troops.

Capan interlocked his fingers as he put his hands behind his head staring down the barrels of weapons that hours ago had been relaxed in thigh holsters or clipped to the Colonel's vest.

Izzy was trying to negotiate with Adel, which was admirable but so not going to work. Not as far as this had gone already.

His finger tightened on the trigger, and pulled it as Adel spoke, before the soldier could use his weapon from the interrogation room. The hammer clicked but didn't fire and Steve swore before going for his sidearm. He didn't have the chance to try to fix the jam, just keep it pointed at Adel if it was a hangfire.

The gunshot he expected would have been Adel shooting him in the head.

The gunshot that actually happened was Isabelle's M9, before he could stop her.

Capan dropped with a cry of pain, even as his medical instincts kicked in and he pressed his hands to the bullet wound to apply pressure, blood welling up between his fingers as he looked up at Isabelle. Betrayal shone in his eyes.

Steve looked at Izzy, who had clearly missed by a mile, unless she'd meant to shoot a man who'd tried to help them. But they had other problems before they could deal with that, as she tried to fire again and the gun jammed. Which just freaking figured, really, right along his P-90.

Steve wrapped his hand around the butt of the pistol to draw, his teeth bared to fight, as the little bastard was way too, justifiably, confident about killing him as Adel swung. And he watched her go Mama Bear.

Trying to shoot Adel to end it risked over-penetration and hitting Izzy, so he waded in by hand to pull her off as Adel had stopped moving.

He had told her once, 'Hold it until they stop moving. And then hold it some more.' But he wouldn't, he couldn't, let her take it that far.

"Cooper!" He got a grip on her shoulders and managed to pull her off but Adel was too still, not almost immediately coming to the way an unconscious man would when a choke was released. "What the bloody hell?"

He reached for her wrists to check the injuries to her palms from her grabbing the knife. And hesitated at the one that rested on her rounded abdomen. "You, are anything but timid, Isabelle.".

There were a lot of other thoughts. 'You shouldn't have had to do that.' 'Killing a man belongs on my conscience, not yours.' 'I'm not worth it.' What he got out was, "Yeah. Let's get out of here."

Steve took a step toward Capan, and the medic, hit on the outside of his thigh, glanced at the gun Adel had dropped when Izzy had taken him down. Steve's finger wrapped a little tighter on the trigger of the M9.  "Do not try it, please, for the love of whatever gods you believe in, Raniel."

Capan looked away from the gun and Adel's body. He'd never liked the other soldier, but he was still loyal to his brothers in arms and his commander. He was injured and knew the aliens would easily kill him too.

Steve stepped backward, gesturing Izzy to follow as they left with the Fijitians to make the run for the surface.

On the ship, Fates asked about his leg. The foam helped but with the walking he'd had to do, and leaning hard on either Cooper or one of the Fijitians, he shook his head and made a joke that really wasn't. "I'll send you guys an invitation from my medical retirement party for it."

"You, are anything but timid, Isabelle.".

The expression on his face was hard to judge, she could not tell if he was angry she had acted so rashly or relieved she was not hurt worse. Either way, what was done was done. Adel was dead along side Sadren and they needed to leave. Isabelle pressed her hands to her side and followed along behind Steve,  "Do not try it, please, for the love of whatever gods you believe in, Raniel." she cast a glance back to where Capan now sat, clutching his bleeding leg, she felt some remorse at hurting the man, all he had done was be kind to them and she had in turned shot him. The Athendan Medic shot her a look, Isabelle started to apologize and explain why she had done it but she could not seem to form the words, so she stayed quiet and continued on with the others as they left.

They were finally safe. Safe on an allied ship, safe from the cold unforgiving planet that almost was the end of them, safe. As a Fijitian medic guided her to a hospital bed Isabelle realized that for the first time in hours she could relax, the sense of relief made her want to cry. As she settled on the bed a nurse appeared, she politely introduced herself simply as Sun and explained that she would be taking care of her. Isabelle just nodded and for the first time in hours rested. 

Another nurse appeared along side Sun and started cleaning the wounds on her hands, Isabelle expected to feel some discomfort but as the nurse worked Iz realized she did not feel a thing. While the other nurse started gently cleaning the blood off of her face and treating her injuries there, Sun appeared with a small tablet, "The child you carry, she is doing fine." 

Isabelle lifted her head up and looked at Sun, "Girl?" the nurse realized that her remark puzzled Isabelle, "You did not know that?" Sun asked quietly, Iz shook her head, "We were going to wait...but it is okay." Sun gave her a polite nod before continuing on with her examination. Iz rested her head again and just listened to the sounds of the infirmary, soon enough she had drifted off to sleep.  

Unbeknownst to her, Col. Hamrick had given the Fijitians permission to go ahead with a bit of retaliation, before leaving the planets orbit The Eternal Star started a very thorough orbital bombardment on the Athendan Facility, if there was anyone on the surface or upper levels of the base, they were now buried. Far as anyone on the ship was concerned, they deserved it.
