Blake looked a little abashed at that. Okay, yes, Captain Huntley was right. As Atharv entered, he moved to make introductions, mindful of the need to get out before Atharv's codes were locked out. He gestured to each person as he introduced them to Atharv. "Colonel Hamrick, Captain Huntley, Captain Martin."

He nodded at Blake's introduction, the enemy soldier, Atharv, looked a bit older than him but the colonel couldn't guess how senior the seeming defector was. Steve wasn't completely willing to trust yet, but the red he'd been seeing earlier had faded.

If nothing else, the guy had apparently prevented the sort of horrible things involved in interrogation happening to Blake, and so he'd give him the benefit of the doubt. "Between us two and Gahana here," the woman peeked from behind Steve, "the ship's systems are up. Can you fly it?"

Blake pulled the remote detonator out of his vest. "Think we're in range?"

He was already turning to go back to the bridge of their new ship. "Based on the floor plans when I found this one, yeah, trip it. If I have to I can use the ship comms to boost the radio signal. Then you to the bridge with me before they figure out you turned on them, Atharv. Huntley, too. Blake, Martin, help Gahana there."

He wanted the other officer nearby until Oxford boarded, in case Blake's skill as a judge of character wasn't reliable this time. Atharv was not a short man and looked like he could handle himself.

Blake looked at the woman, her uniform looked more like someone who got into the grease and the labor as opposed to Atharv's. And she'd been hurt, as he spoke in the local tongue. "Aap theek hai na?"

She was surprised to hear their own language and responded. "Unhonne kaha ki ek gadha any ek hai, theek hai. Main hoon Gahana."

Blake looked at the Army officers. "Well, she doesn't like Steve, but she doesn't mind you, Captain."

So far so good. The Ashuddh Vaale had welcomed him onto the ship rather than kill him on sight. He might escape this planet yet.

"I'll make us ready for launch," he explained. He hurried up to the bridge,dropped into the helmsman seat and activated the console before him. As an overseer of the construction yard he was very familiar with how the Asuran cruiser worked. After all, he'd spent years studying the design so he could determine the best way to sabotage the ships without detection to slow down the Asuran war effort. Thankfully the vessel they were using today had not fallen victim to his treachery.

SV-3 had already gotten the majority of the ships systems online which made his job a lot easier - a cold launch would have been risky without first checking that the safety systems had been installed. The sub-officer brought the ship up to launch readiness and entered his authorisation code into the navigation suite, receiving notification a few moments later from the factory's automatic flight control that he was cleared for launch. Luckily at this hour the system was on automated mode - a flesh and blood flight officer would have raised an alarm at the unauthorised launch and put an end to their escape before it even began.

Atharv's communicator chimed with an update from his men - the loyalist guards were gaining the upper hand and about to overrun them. Atharv ordered them to scatter, go underground, and continue their resistance against the so called 'gods' of the Asuran. He would return for them one day soon.

"We are about to have hostile company," he announced over the ship's intercom system. "I recommend we launch while we still can."

After Bobby counted heads and whatnot. He pulled out the charger for all the C4 they had ever planted. In Travis's words, fire works would be awesome. The Captain almost snorted, his cousin was still a kid. It seemed that being out here was like a playground for him as was Delta. Shaking his head, he looked at Atharv. The man had done them a huge favour by letting them live. Going over to where the said man was, "Since we don't have time for a crash course for me, right this moment," he told him as he leaned on the consoles, "Get us out of here. Once in the Oribit, I'll take over, then give me a crash course." He was a rescue pilot for god sake, not a fighter pilot. Not that made any difference out here. A bird was a bird.

"We ain't waiting for no company," he flipped the remote and pressed the buttons. Somewhere in the distance, sound of blast could be heard, along with shouts of horror from the me, "And that," he added as he pressed another, "will give the distraction we need. Now let's sprinkle some fairy dust and fly out."

It didn't take long for the ship to launch and into orbit. Rob could only watch in awe as they left behind the planet and were greeted by the endless space. Looking at Athrva, he knew he had to convince Matt to allow the man into the expedition and the base. While it was a risk to have a foe turned into friend knowing where the base was, what had happened here had not been in his control. Little did he know, Travis was going to murder him. The Colonel only needed a reason. It had been either bringing the man or let him get captured by his own people. Given the man had saved their lives, Bobby and his group owned it to him.

He moved towards Hamrick and requested that the coordinates to the base be entered into the ship's navigation system. He hoped they were not too late. The trip for now mostly quiet.
